I had a fantastic stay at The Westin St. Francis on Union Square (Drake SF)! From the moment I arrived, Jose at the front desk made me feel incredibly welcome — he was warm, attentive, and even had scrumptious treats ready for my pup, who was just as thrilled as I was. Jose went above and beyond, not only giving me a luxurious suite with an incredible view of the city, but also taking the time to walk me through every detail of the $20 F&B credit included with my stay. He carefully explained how to use it, where it could be applied, and even pointed out the outlets’ closing times to make sure I wouldn’t miss the opportunity. That kind of thoughtful service really stood out. The room itself was spacious — over 500 square feet — and beautifully appointed. Definitely not your typical SF shoebox with a cramped bathroom. Everything felt elevated, relaxing, and well-designed. If you're staying in San Francisco, you can't beat this luxury hotel with its number one location, incredible views, and top-tier service. I can’t wait to return! Read less

I travel to San Francisco often and have stayed at this hotel multiple times now. The hotel itself is very interesting as it is a very historic property, being the old St. Francis hotel. The hotel offers daily tours on the history of the property and is totally worth your time. The hotel has expanded over the years and includes the old St. Francis building, with a much newer modern high rise next to it containing about 30 stories of rooms. As an Ambassador Elite Bonvoy member, I have been upgraded to a junior suite in each of the building. The much older St. Francis rooms are smaller but have been recently renovated. The newer tower of rooms are a bit dated (though not enough to not stay here) but offer incredible, unobstructed views of San Francisco. The lobby is a work of art itself and is festooned with flowers and trees (it is hard to describe accurately, so just go look at it) and contains a nice little cafe. This Westin is also one of the few that has a member lounge. Further, the gym at this hotel is very impressive and large, and contains about 40 cardio machines and lots of other workout equipment (weight sets, strength training machines, medicine balls, stretching area, etc.) However, the thing that really sets this property apart from the JW Marriott or Marriot Maquis down the street is the great customer service. I have been extremely impressed by the staff members at the front desk and they truly go above and beyond with each guest. The beds are great- like all Westin beds, the views are unmatched, and the front desk staff actually care about their jobs and show it. Read less

The location of this hotel is great right in the heart of union square. Everyone from front desk to housekeeping has done a phenomenal job. Henry in the restaurant took care of us every morning and made sure our coffee mugs were never empty. Elizabeth (I think that was her name) in the restaurant was a pleasure to talk to. And last but certainly not least, the man who made sure that we made the most of our trip the conciergeJeff Aquino! I swear he is like the best concierge I have ever encountered! Not only was he knowledgeable of the city but he treated us like family. Actually seeing from observation, he treats all of his guests like family. A perfect example of how every employee should act in the hospitality industry. We definitely will be back! Thank you all for everything! Read less
