The room was fine but we were situated at the end of parking lot and it was loud. The hotel hosted a wedding and we could hear all the banging in the room above us and when they would park cars essentially under our room. The hotel hosted a wedding and we could hear all the banging in the room above us and when they would park cars essentially under our room. So woken up multiple times during the night and this was a $600 a nt room? We were only coming thru SB for one day of golf and one night on the way to LA but either chose a more expensive room or the motel six across the street as it would be half the price for the same thing. Or the other Hyatt property that's a few blocks away? I don't know but this room was not worth the price. The TV didn't even work but only one nt I wasn't going to deal w the headache.!!! Also the $50 valet should be in the price as nobody is taking metro there! Sub par experience ....I'll be back at the Ritz or Rosewood next time as the step up in cost is well well worth it. This was my first stay here. I booked multiple rooms for our family reunion trip. All the special requests made during the booking (connecting rooms, close to elevator, third room close to other two) were all handled prior to arrival. The resort fee was beyond reasonable with all the included amenities: beach chairs and umbrellas, bike rentals. Discoverists get bottled water included, drink tokens, guaranteed late check out at 2pm. I came with a group of teenagers and went to redeem the drink tokens for nonalcoholic drinks at the Costa bar. Anthony didn’t judge me for showing up in my robe and pajamas with a large group of kids, and he treated us with such attentiveness and professionalism as he would any other guest. The location is amazing. It’s right across the street from the beach, a mile away from Funk Zone, waking distance to the zoo, and a 10 min drive from the downtown area. EV charging included in the valet fee, and the service was always quick! I loved staying here , and would happily return in the future. Read less

So sure, this hotel is close to the beach. But closer to the road! And the pool area feels kind of like a cheap hotel’s attempt to try something nice, but it’s a fail. The towels in the rooms are thin and small and remind me of a Motel 6. Also- is it that hard to set the clock in the room to the right time? For $500, you’d expect so much more.
