Fabulous hotel within a few blocks of the ocean with awesome ocean front rooms. Easy access from all major highways. Within minutes to Santa Monica pier and nice walk along the ocean to Venice beach. Emma, Anna and Tracy were very helpful to anything needed. Highly recommend this Hyatt Centric!

Best hotel we've stayed at in Santa Monica. Hyatts as a whole tend to be better than Marriott and Hilton. This was a great example. High quality breakfast.

Having been staying in so many Hyatt hotel around the globe, from Milan, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Canberra and countless other cities, this Hyatt is really letting me down. 1. We checked in late and asked if breakfast was included in our booking. The front desk staff said yes. However, it turns out this hotel doesn’t offer a standard buffet breakfast—they only serve à la carte. That led us to return to the front desk to confirm whether breakfast was truly included. Upon checkout, we were humiliated by the staff member (a gentleman) who said something like, “We’ll waive it for you this time.” Are we begging for breakfast? It’s completely normal to forget whether breakfast was included in a booking made three months ago, especially when we’ve had many hotel stays throughout the year. Isn’t it unusual for a hotel to offer only à la carte breakfast and not make it explicitly clear? Who’s really out of step here? The staff member came across as arrogant and seemed to believe he was superior to the guests. 2. The hotel charges $70 per day for valet parking, which is acceptable. However, they mistakenly added an extra car to our bill. It should be common sense that a family of three staying in one room is unlikely to have two vehicles. The double charge was clearly shown on our receipt, so I politely inquired about it. The same staff member impatiently told me it had already been reversed—which was true, I had simply overlooked it. But am I not allowed to make a mistake, especially when the hotel made the initial error of adding an extra vehicle? When I asked why this happened, he deflected all responsibility and said it was the “valet guys.” Aren’t you part of the same hotel team? Again—unnecessarily dismissive and arrogant. 3. The room is small, fridge is not cool and all facilities are outdated. 4. After this experience, I’m truly done with World of Hyatt. I will be shifting all my loyalty and future bookings to Marriott Bonvoy. Read less
