As the name suggests, Yosemite View Lodge is so close to the park that any closer and you'd actually be in it! It also straddles the banks of the Merced River on which river rafting is available in season (Apr-Jun) together with excellent fishing. Virgin Holidays guests will be spoilt for choice with not one, but three swimming pools to choose from, as well as five whirlpools and two restaurants. There is also a cosy lounge bar in which to discuss the day's adventures.

“Perfect place to stay with dogs and family”

We stayed in the Redwoods in a 2-bdrm apt for Thanksgiving. It was clean and comfortable - not dusty which you sometimes get. The kitchen had all the basics necessary - no oil or salt and pepper but the pans etc were all you need to make a basic meal. We loved how close we were to the park. We had dogs so couldn’t stay onsite.

Location! This hotel is 2 miles from a park entrance. Room was clean and lovely. We got a riverview room with balcony, and it was a great view. Our room had a jacuzzi which was nice. There was a mini kitchen with fridge, microwave and stove burner. Pots, plates/bowls, silverware and cups were included. A few things- The heater unit in the room has a remote that we didn’t find until late- it was sitting on a wall box behind the curtain. Also the onsite restaurant is overpriced with middling food. Better to grab groceries and cook in the unit.

Hotel is a little run down/tired. In need of updating. Shower was cold this morning. On site restaurant food poor Great location though.
