I was upgraded when I checked in to a balcony room. Paid for early check and thought this will be nice. I got to my room and settled in. I was upgraded when I checked in to a balcony room. Paid for early check and thought this will be nice. I got to my room and settled in. As soon as I opened my balcony door I was hit with the smell of pot. Keep in mind I have health issues and this is a smoke free hotel. I went to the front desk and they said they would look into it. I went to dinner and went back to my room and again my balcony wreaked of pot. No follow up with front desk. The next day I woke up went out on the balcony and the same thing. Went to the front desk to complain again and was told they would Look into it. Went to my Travel Agent Seminar and at lunch same thing. Now I feel like I am just being blown off. I go back to the front desk and they deduct my first nights dinner to comp me. After dinner I was told they apprehended the situation and it was done when I checked but at this point I am leaving the next morning. The shower was great! The rom could use some TLC and the halls need to be vacuumed. I would never stay here again and would not recommend for any of my clients. Read less

Marriott is dying. It's my second Marriott, I feel the same. No vibes. You feel like a third world hotel. Food without many options, no chefs, I think. People work without pleasure. No friendly. When I go to São Paulo, stop at the Marriott Guarulhos Airport, is still nice. I don't recommend. There are good options near the airport.

The king sized bed was more like a queen sized bed! We had several issues during our stay! The landscaping was overgrown in the back of the building. The king sized bed was more like a queen sized bed! We had several issues during our stay! The landscaping was overgrown in the back of the building. We were almost afraid to walk to the side door in the rear of the building because the hedges were so tall. There was also trash all over the grounds and just strewn about the walking trails in the rear of the building! The rooms were not cleaned thoroughly. Our towels and sheets had stains on them and mildew could be seen around the bottom of the shower basin. Upon returning back to the room after a long day at a conference, our keys stopped working and they had no way to make keys for about 30 minutes! The manager on duty was Brad. He was very condescending and really nasty with us when we asked why he didn’t have a back up plan during their key outage. It seems he could have walked us to our room to let us in with a staff key. This is what other hotels have done in this situation. He didn’t seem to care! It seemed he was more pleased to inconvenience us rather than help! He even walked away from us while we were still speaking to him! We will never stay at this property again! Marriott just lost a loyal customer!!! Read less

We had to change the room four times: room with connecting door and high noise, empty battery for entrance door, room directly next to elevator with high noise, bad smell in room. The rooms are of so poor quality and the reception staff was super unfriendly and no sign of apology for our issues with the room. We even had to apologize for asking the room change, made us super uncomfortable. Stay away from this hotel!!!! Read less
