The hotel

This hotel was an absolute joke for charging my credit card multiple times for transaction i never approved nor do i know what it was for. When i returned home i have over 8 different card charges ranging from £80 to £581 with the cost way over £1000 UK Pounds ($1300) I understand in USA all the major hotels take your CC for resort fees and any room charges, but this hotel is basic, there is nothing in the room to be charged for, even the FREE coffee machine didn’t work. We knew when booking it was basic but as our first time here we wanted to be close to bourbon street, the room was basic, but the bed was comfortable but for us it was all about location. When we checked in there was no mention of resort fees (just coming from Vegas when you check in at least they tell you and the cost and make it clear, but not here) so first timers be careful as you have to pay the city tax which for 4 nights worked out around £85 ($115 per room) When i got back to the UK i had to call the hotel chain to investigate, they removed some of the card holds but not all. i then went back and forth over email, calling multiple times in the end i had to contact my bank to investigate and it took over 3 weeks for them to refund £581 - which they could not even tell me what that charged was for. Since this happened i looked online and there are so many reviews of this also happening to other people, so do you research before staying here. ive been to USA many times and this is probably the worst experience ive have had, I have given it 2 stars because the bed was comfortable and the location is good, if you stay don’t hand over your Credit card. Joy at the front desk offered excellent service and provided a very beautiful and comfortable room for our girls trip! The hotel is beautiful and the location is perfect for shopping and nights out in the quarter. Can't wait to come back to this hotel soon.

Room and service were excellent. The staff were friendly as they checked us in and checked us out. We would stay here again! Our room was clean and ready for us within 10 minutes. The bed was soft and clean. The valet parking was quick and efficient.
