Soooo, even though this is an older hotel, it still has all the amenities you want in a hotel…swimming pool, gym, a community balcony and GREAT customer service. Love the hotel, very nice. Love the pool and the view from the pool deck overlooking bourbon st. Nice restaurant on property. Close to everything. When I needed help up front Byron jumped in and took care of everything. Because of his kindness we will be back.

Although we checked in for our CWA District Meeting on May 31st, over 2/3 of our attendees were checked-in by the time the a/c caught fire at 2am June 1st. We had seniors and retirees, most people were 60+ yoa, and many evacuated outside in pajamas. Joy did both my checked-in and check-out, and even walked us to changed rooms to confirm moves… Read more

Joy did both my checked-in and check-out, and even walked us to changed rooms to confirm moves needed by some with specific needs. The staff was excellent in assisting us from the Bellhops to the Front Desk and Valet making the transfer to another hotel pretty seamless. I was shocked to be charged for the night since changing hotels was inevitable with no a/c in @90° NOLA and a shaky 3 day repair commitment. The Crown Plaza could have at least given us a 2-day credit for a future stay... Chilled Out! Read less

The Assistant General Manager Byron Is amazing! At the last minute we needed a larger room and he went above and beyond to accommodate us. When I told him that it was my birthday he graciously left a bottle of wine in the room on ice. This is my second time staying at the Astor Crown Plaza (NOLA), but it will not be my last.
