“Wonderful experience!”

Overall had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the dining options at the resort and the variety of pools to suit everyone’s preferences. It’s also a unique and fun experience with the penguins and birds on property. Highly recommend!

“Great location and amenities”

First time in Maui, attended a conference and brought the family. Hotel is beautiful, tons of amenities, huge pools, easy beach access. Coffee shop opens at 6 local time, great for all the mainlanders! We preferred to walk a little further north for the sandier shore line in front of some of the other resorts for ocean play time, it’s rocky in front of the Hyatt. Lots of good food and shops at Whaler’s village, which is an easy walk or trolley ride away. We had planned to try snorkeling, but the weather was a little unsettled leading to rougher surf and unfavorable conditions. So I guess we’ll just have to come back.

Beautiful hotel - you would never guess it's age. At the very end of Kaanapali beach along a quieter section of the beach. Pool is huge and chairs plentiful during the entire day. Kids pool has small waterslides and the kids playing there had a great time. Rooms are a great size, updated and comfortable. Love the automatic night lights by the bed and in the bathroom. Staff all around were happy, pleasant always smiling. Whoever was on the text line was on it! They texted back quickly and with the information requested. Easy 20 minute walk to 'Whalers Village' shopping and eating area - you can also take the free tram to get anywhere along Kaanapali beach. We had access to the Regency Club and forced to have breakfast there (vs the restaurant) which was the only negative experience. The club room was extremely overcrowded the entire breakfast time (we came at different times each morning). Breakfast offerings were the same as you'd get at a Hyatt Place/House, in fact it felt like we were at a Hyatt Place/House. The club room was kept at a constant 60 degrees and very cold all day long. The afternoon appetizers were substantial and a plus.
