We enjoyed our stay at the Kimpton Taconic Hotel. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with large bathrooms, excellent showers, and cozy in-room fireplaces.
Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good, especially the fresh beet salad and perfectly cooked pork chop. Parking was easy, and the complimentary evening wine or beer happy hour was a welcome touch.
The hotel is a bit of a walk from town, so driving may be necessary for dinner elsewhere. Some staff could also have been warmer. Overall, it’s a comfortable

We had an amazing wedding weekend last weekend at the Kimpton Taconic and it was outstanding from check in Friday to checkout on Sunday. The ambiance and cleanliness and friendly staff throughout was incredible. Our family and guests all loved the simple elegance of the event and the charm and hospitality evident where ever we were. We were able to have the ceremony on the Green outside and the showers held off with the Cocktail Reception on the Terrace, and delicious dinner in the Ballroom. Firepits , a Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Cart, and a Cigar Bar were some favorites!
