I recently had an extended stay at the Gansevoort Meatpacking for 7 days. The first 3 days were for business. The balance was a family vacation to celebrate my wife’s birthday. She and my two kids came to NYC from Chicago. Firstly, the location is conveniently located to just about anywhere in NYC - Chelsea, West Village, Lower East Side, BK, Soho, Harlem, Central Park, Downtown, etc. Second, the rooftop pool and bar is one of the best. And finally, the staff and service is super high quality. When my wife arrived during the week, the staff helped me arrange for flowers to be in our room to start the experience, and ensured our kid’s room was near ours. They also surprised us with several amazing delights (champaign, small bites, chocolates, etc) across our stay. Special shout out to the full staff for making our experience the best - Bryn, Erika, Marcel, Kyle, Rene and Genaro in particular who paid special attention to us the entire stay!! I’m in NYC often for work and fun - The Gansevoort is my #1 go to hotel for the best hospitality and experience. #highlyrecommend!!! Read less

We had a wonderful stay at the Ganesbirt this weekend! Much love to the staff, namely John R, Marcell, Erika, Samantha, and Gabriel for going above and beyond to make my family feel more than accommodated! Top notch service for sure.

Great location - meatpacking district is a cool place to visit. People were nice. Overall it was fine, but not sure how it gets 5 star rating - not even close. Bed was very firm. Toilet ran after flushing - had to take cover off and jiggle chain for it to stop. Room/bathroom good but nothing special. The rooftop pool/bar area looked great,… Read more

Toilet ran after flushing - had to take cover off and jiggle chain for it to stop. Room/bathroom good but nothing special. The rooftop pool/bar area looked great, however I was there for 2 nights (a Friday and Saturday) and it was closed for a private event both nights. It's kind of the main attraction of the whole place. Read less

Thank you all ( didn’t get names, sorry) for making my stay so memorable. The hotel itself is super.. great location with plenty of lovely shops around, pavement cafes etc, feels safe and lively in a good way. The roof top pool is a gem, great for people ( and dog!) watching! My room was a deluxe queen.. it had a great panoramic window, and they even supplied hair straighteners in the room! Ask for tea/ coffee making facilities.. Overall, a great place and one 8 hope to return to! Read less
