“The best hotel in NYC!”

Our stay in the Civilian was incredible! Every step of the way it was made wonderful by the staff who were so helpful, and the hotel was beautiful, clean, had all the useful amenities, and in a wonderful location! The rooftop bar was stunning, highly recommended booking a spot - made even better by my boyfriend choosing this beautiful spot to propose!!!! which the staff worked wonders to make extra special for us. Will absolutely be back to the Civilian, and would recommend this hotel to everyone I know travelling to NYC! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I absolutely loved my stay at The Civilian. This was not my first time in NYC but it was my favorite hotel of those I've stayed in. The location is perfect. The walk to my Broadway show was only four minutes. There is amazing food all around the hotel. The walk to Central Park is also not bad. The decor and details in the room are gorgeous. The room is clean, quiet and comfortable. There is a beautiful rooftop bar-The Starchild. I also loved the food at the restaurants. The staff was helpful and friendly and a special thank you to Sekou, one of the managers for going the extra mile to make my stay special.

My stay here was definitely the best I have had at any hotel in NYC and among the best I have had anywhere. The location is amazing - walking distance to many attractions and easy access to public transport. My room was immaculately clean and beautifully designed - not massive by U.S. standards, but with plenty of clothes hangers and space to lay out my suitcase on the floor while still being able to comfortably walk around the room without stepping on it. The one thing I would have liked to have was a workspace with a desk and chair, but there are lots of great coffee shops nearby where I could do this when needed. Nothing in NYC is cheap, but this was the best value for money I could possibly hope for.
