The rooms are small, but the floor to ceiling windows gave it the room an expansive feel -- especially with a corner room, which as a Bonvoy member they upgraded me to. The room was immaculately clean. The room was the perfect size for a couple. The bathroom was brightly lit and also immaculate. The hotel is within 5-10 min walk of the MoMa. It's also a terrific location to the Theater District. We walked (in heels) to the St. James Theater to see Sunset Blvd and the Lunt-Fontanne Theater to see Death Becomes Her without breaking a sweat. It's also within a stones throw of fine dining, casual and fast food options, as well as a market up the street (which at the corner of two major banks/ATMS - Wells Fargo and I think Chase). The staff here was incredible! Betty from Housekeeping, who serviced our room, greeted us with a bubbly personality and was a ray of sunshine each time we left our room. Unfortunately, I had to cut our trip short due to a family emergency, but Elena and Steve were so understanding! I was holding myself together trying not to cry and they were so sympathetic, allaying my troubles by speeding me through the unplanned check out. There kindness was so heartwarming...especially when I needed it most. All around - a great place to stay to be close to the actions without being swallowed by it! Read less

Myself and partner were given room on the 6th floor with a large sign in front of the window, we paid extra for room with view, also large rip on the sheet, which we reported and complained about the restricted view from the large sign in front of the window. Steven the manager gave us a free drink and snacks to compensate although was appreciated, it didn’t make up for the room unfortunately. Great location. One or two members of staff need training on Customer care as didn’t welcomed when we arrived, didn’t even get a hello or a smile. Read less

We’d recently spent one night at the Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan Central Park (the name itself is such a mouthful) on the last day of our trip. The location itself is excellent. It’s quintessential New York: the shopping, the theatres, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square etc are in the area. It’s lively and full of energy (which means crowded and congested). We had a room on the 14th floor which gives decent views to the neighbouring high rise offices. The room itself is clean, modern, with good amenities and Wifi. There is a gym and self service laundry machines on the top floor. Staff are friendly and helpful with our transport request to JFK Airport. One disappointment we have is the lack of a kettle in the room. The mineral water will need to be purchased from the grocery counter at the lobby. Lastly there was loud construction noise (I think from some road works downstairs) in the morning. We were lucky that it’s our last day and that we were ready to head out. Overall we had an enjoyable time. Read less

It was pricey for but a family of four adults with luggage is just a a bit more than the train/subway The subway stations are very close to this hotel and of course so many things are super walkable - like Central Park and Times Square The rooms are comfortable and big enough. We had two rooms - a standard two bed room for our teen children and a nice corner room king for me and my spouse. The kids room was super clean and nice. Our room while clean had a spot on the carpet that had been repaired with black duct tape. It got the job done but it was tacky. The view was amazing and we were on level 9. Go up to the top floor for the gym or ice and see the view from their magnificent. The ac was cold which was nice. The worst part of the room had nothing to do with our hotel. There is construction across the street and they start up at 8 am sharp. Also the street noise at night is pretty bad. Solution - bring a portable noise machine or download an app We did not eat the $30 breakfast. We opted to get coffee and bagels or whatever at the MANY cool places nearby. I would totally stay here again Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Needs updating

Jun 22, 2025 skterrill2 West Springfield, Virginia

The courtyard is well located with many shops/restaurants closeby. I found the room needed updating. Breakfast was not included (it usually is with courtyard). The whole place seems worn out and needs updating for a more pleasant and expected experience.
