The room was dirty and had an overwhelming mold smell that worsened whenever the AC was on. The AC was also incredibly loud. The AC stopped working multiple times at night and maintenance had to be called to fix the issue. This was during a heat wave so it made the room very unpleasant. I ended up being moved to a new room the third night of my stay. I was also near the stairs and frequently heard the door slam loudly at all hours. No apology for the issues which was very disappointing. Also, never received the final bill which was specifically requested and promised at checkout. Would not recommend this hotel. Read less

From the time we walked in until the time we walked out we received nothing but Irish hospitality. My new home when I'm in New York! Beautiful hotel, outstanding neighborhood, steps from Grand Central Station, top notched staff, this place has it ALL.

We had asked for non down pillows when booking. The plugs in the room for the coffee maker were broken, the stopper in the sink broke and I found a bug in the bed. We asked for maintenance three times to come up and solve the problem and they never showed up.

The Front Desk staff was as friendly and accommodating as we remembered — always going above and beyond. Garfield, the concierge, immediately recognized my wife and me and warmly welcomed us back. As always, he continued to outdo himself. Anyone visiting NYC should absolutely consider a stay at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central — an oasis in the hustle and bustle of such an exciting and thriving city. Since our first stay approximately 20 years ago, we still feel as though we’re staying in the guest room of a friend. The rooms are super comfortable and always immaculate. The Fitzpatrick Grand Central is a first class boutique hotel that makes each guest feel special and welcome. We look forward to our next stay soon!!! Read less

We recently returned to this wonderful Hotel for a weekend Birthday celebration for 71 year old twins. Once again, the Fitzpatrick Grand Central made the weekend special. Having always stayed during the Christmas Holiday in the past, we had the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor patio for lunch on arrival day. You can experience Irish hospitality at The WheelTapper bar. All members of the staff are very friendly, helpful, and make you feel welcome. The updated rooms are very comfortable. The Hotel’s location is very convenient to explore Manhattan. You experience a small boutique hotel with big hotel amenities. I highly recommend what I call New York City’s best kept secret for a wonderful experience Read less
