We stayed recently as a family of 3 and found our stay to be okay, but probably wouldn't return.
The room was an decent size with comfortable beds. The bathroom was quite cramped however, with the exception of the shower area itself. There wasn't much room to get dried or changed so the majority of the time we would get ready in the cupboard area which was larger. The shower was really disappointing as more often than not it was lukewarm rather than warm. I think in 7 days there were 2 where I had a hot shower. What I did like was that we had plenty of towels and toiletries to use.
There wasn't much in the way of storage. The cupboard area was large but there were only 7 hangers, which for a family of 3 meant only one of us could hang our clothes up. There was a set of 3 drawers which again, wasn't really a lot.
The breakfast was the most disappointing part of our stay. You were given vouchers to redeem and could choose 3 items each per person. Your first item was either a pastry, apple or banana, the second was either pancakes, a breakfast roll (there were I think 2 types to choose from) or a yoghurt, and the third was a coffee, tiny orange juice or a bottled water. It did feel like we were children in a school queuing up for lunch as it was an almost constant stream of people waiting in line to hand over a voucher, select their options and be handed it over. The space to stay and eat was always quite busy as well, so you weren't always guaranteed space to sit down. There is an option to have a breakfast served to you upstairs which is an additional £6 per person but I felt we had already paid for breakfast so didnt want to spend more money, although we would have been guaranteed a table and more choice if we had done this. The food we did have was nice, particularly the pancakes, but after 7 days it was a bit samey.
The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming but apart from that no other staff members engaged with us. The people checking our room card before the lift area would occasionally nod and say thank you but this was the most interaction we really got. It is a very busy hotel though so this is probably why they don't particularly have time to chat.
Overall I wouldn't stay here again. I really struggled with the breakfast situation, although this is just a personal preference. I like to sit down, relax and have options rather than going down every morning to queue up for the same thing and hope for a space to sit and eat it. The shower being cold was also frustrating. The location however is great, within walking distance of a lot of attractions, shops and restaurants etc. I would say if you dont mind a grab and go breakfast then you would enjoy your stay more.
