You can survey all that surrounds you from Bar 54. Fittingly named, it sits on the 54th floor of Hyatt Centric Times Square – making it the highest hotel rooftop lounge in the whole of NYC. It doesn't just give you magical Manhattan views though, it also delivers small plates, handcrafted cocktails, and unique seating in igloo-style bubbles. You can get a view on Manhattan from your guest room too, with its floor-to-ceiling windows sure to distract from the complimentary Wi-Fi. When you're not staring at or exploring the city, the hotel's also home to Times Square's only full-service spa.

Where is it

Just seconds from the buzz of Times Square and the surrounding Theater District, this hotel is set between Broadway and 6th Avenue. This puts you right by Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and dining and shopping, and just a stroll from other popular attractions, like the Empire State Building, Carnegie Hall, 5th Avenue, and Central Park.

King Room With Terrace has 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.High Floor View Rooms have views of the city or Times Square, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults or 4 adults. 

Queen High Floor Oversized City View Rooms have city views with 2 queen beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

King Suites have a separate lounge space featuring a sofa bed and seating area. With 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adultsKing High Floor Skyline View Suites are located on the 40th floor and above and have views of the Chrysler Building. With 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.King Times Square View Suites are located on the 44th floor and have a separate lounge, sofa bed and soaking tub. King City View Terrace Suites are located on the 40th floor, have a terrace, separate lounge, and soaking tub. With 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Times Square Presidential Terrace Suite is located on the 40th floor and has separate lounge and sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Perfect location! You are right within all the action - Broadway theaters and the activity in Times Square. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - very comfy bed. And surprisingly quiet despite the busy location. The bar on the 54th floor serves great craft cocktails and the view is amazing.

The hotel is wheelchair accessible and has rooms and suites that are wheelchair accessible as well. Only service dogs are allowed. Housekeeping is prompt, friendly and efficient. Special mention of Ms Jennifer for her warmth. The lifts need to be checked - mentioned to Ms Marione, Asstt Operations Manager. The Hyatt is an excellent hotel in the heart of the theater district and Times Square...modern, clean, very accessible and with a wonderful evening spot for a drink with a view at Bar 54. Within walking distance to the Broadway theaters and the restaurants at Rockefeller Center. hard to beat!

Pros: received a free upgrade on arrival, we had a nice view, bright and spacious room, big comfy bed, good shower, free bottles of water replenished every day, cleaner does a very good job (of cleaning but leaving things be), on the 31st floor you don’t hear too much from outside, reception staff very helpful, brought anything we needed when we called guest services, lifts quick, market downstairs very handy (but overpriced), TV has access to decent channels, hairdryer works well, having an armchair and a bench was helpful, hotel is well placed for subway stops l, Broadway and attractions. Cons: even though it was our honeymoon we didn’t feel we received much in terms of special treatment, not really an ideal space to get ready (do hair and makeup) where you can sit with a mirror, plug sockets are a bit wonky/wobbly, bedside drawers aren’t useful storage, didn’t like the rooftop bar (bad vibes).
