You can survey all that surrounds you from Bar 54. Fittingly named, it sits on the 54th floor of Hyatt Centric Times Square – making it the highest hotel rooftop lounge in the whole of NYC. It doesn't just give you magical Manhattan views though, it also delivers small plates, handcrafted cocktails, and unique seating in igloo-style bubbles. You can get a view on Manhattan from your guest room too, with its floor-to-ceiling windows sure to distract from the complimentary Wi-Fi. When you're not staring at or exploring the city, the hotel's also home to Times Square's only full-service spa.

Where is it

Just seconds from the buzz of Times Square and the surrounding Theater District, this hotel is set between Broadway and 6th Avenue. Queen High Floor Oversized City View Rooms have city views with 2 queen beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

King Suites have a separate lounge space featuring a sofa bed and seating area. With 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adultsKing High Floor Skyline View Suites are located on the 40th floor and above and have views of the Chrysler Building. With 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.King Times Square View Suites are located on the 44th floor and have a separate lounge, sofa bed and soaking tub. King City View Terrace Suites are located on the 40th floor, have a terrace, separate lounge, and soaking tub. With 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Times Square Presidential Terrace Suite is located on the 40th floor and has separate lounge and sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Wonderful hotel with a cozy and amazing rooftop restaurant. The cocktail staff was excellent—he quickly noticed I was Brazilian and made me a delicious caipirinha with cachaça from Carmo, RJ. I loved it, recommend 100 and will be back soon

The location of the hotel is perfect for Times Square, broadway shows, easy walk to Rockefeller, St. Patrick's Cathedral, MoMA, Central Park. Queen beds are rare in NY hotels, so this is a gem. We stayed in a two queen bed room and had plenty of room for 4 adults' luggage. We also had plenty of room in the bathroom for all of our toiletries.… Read more

We stayed in a two queen bed room and had plenty of room for 4 adults' luggage. We also had plenty of room in the bathroom for all of our toiletries. Bathroom has heated floors, very updated and comfortable. Downstairs cafe breakfasts were outstanding. We also greatly appreciated the comfortable car company they contract with for a flat rate back to the airport. Only two negatives were that the pillows deflate to almost nothing when you put your head down. Also, there are not outlets for the inside person in the bed. Read less

Lovely hotel, the location is ideal for all things in NYC centre, walking distance to anywhere in city centre including the subway. The hotel was approx 35 mins from Newark airport (depending on traffic). The staff are welcoming and helpful and good to know they have hotel cars you can ask and pay for if you are not sure how to get an Uber etc. … Read more
Lovely hotel, the location is ideal for all things in NYC centre, walking distance to anywhere in city centre including the subway. The hotel was approx 35 mins from Newark airport (depending on traffic). The staff are welcoming and helpful and good to know they have hotel cars you can ask and pay for if you are not sure how to get an Uber etc. Our room was on the 27th floor, there are 3 lifts so don't have to wait too long. Our room was clean and spacious with a view to the rear (which was fine as we weren't in the room much!). The bed was a super king size, fresh sheets, towels and room cleaned every day. There was a small fridge (nothing in it) but kept our drinks cool and there was a safe. You are provided with a coffee machine and capsules for both coffee and tea which was fab alongside bottles of water (all free). Good sized wardrobe, we opted to lay our cases at the bottom of it but plenty of room if you wish to hang clothes with a shelf at the top. There were also a few drawers available too. Air con in the room was fab and the room door had a safety device/latch once you were in the for night. The bathroom had a good shower (rainfall style with separate spray too), you have shower gel, shampoo and conditioner supplied. You also have hand wash and hand lotion supplied. Hairdryer available to use and can be used in the bathroom or in the main room. Only downside was there was no extras i.e. shower cap, cotton wool pads etc - that would have been helpful but not an issue. The reception area is welcoming however only a small seating area so if a family is in, there is no room for anyone else. There is a cafe area off from the reception, you can get food to go or sit in - we did this twice, our first day we got breakfast and on our last day got breakfast again however only for convenience as it is very expensive and the food was okay (processed), you are better to head out as there are plenty of places to get freshly made food and its cheaper. Overall it is a lovely hotel however the next time we go to NYC I would probably stay somewhere less grand as this is probably the least amount of time we have spent in a hotel room so better off saving money for all the other exciting things to do in NYC. The hotel’s prime location in Midtown Manhattan made it incredibly easy to explore the city’s top attractions, from Times Square to Central Park and beyond. The rooms were spacious for New York standards, stylishly decorated, and offered great city views. What stood out most was the attentive and professional staff who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. From helpful recommendations on nearby restaurants to quick responses to any requests, their service truly enhanced our stay. The hotel’s amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center and comfortable public spaces, provided the perfect balance of convenience and relaxation. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, Hyatt Times Square offers a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere in the heart of the city. Great hotel, very clean, and staff is very friendly and prompt. In the lobby, there is a small café to grab breakfast or something to go. Excellent location, very short walk to Times Square.
