Amazing service, felt valued as an IHG member and shoutout to Ahmed for providing me a complimentary room upgrade overlooking the city. I’ll be staying here in the future when I visit NYC. Property is very close to Times Square and very accessible to the subway.

Absolutely filthy….truly disgusting. Certainly not in line with wildest expectations of an Intercontinental Hotel (and we’ve stayed in Intercontinentals all over the world)! From the moment you enter they’re forcing a $40 plus 21% tax “resort fee” - when questioned they will give you $30 credit on F&B but not breakfast, but not….the list keeps going. Elevator heading to room is not neat - smudged etc. Getting off elevator there’s nasty old bags of food lining the hallways (5pm). We went out to dinner and a show and came back at 11pm to find yet again all those stinking bags of food lining the hallways outside guest room doors (obviously they do not want the smell in their room). In leaving the next day we stepped into the elevator to find limes on the floor from someone’s drink. The whole experience, at almost $500 for the night - was a stain on the reputation of the Intercontinental brand. Read less

Great hotel, friendly staff that always .goes above and beyond our expectations! Room was larger than most NYC hotels, quiet and the beds luxurious. I’ve stayed here many times and it just keeps getting better. The restaurant is lovely but a bit overpriced, still found it enjoyable.

Birthday long weekend celebration for 4th July holiday. Made booking through British Airways Holidays including transfers. Beware with transfers you get a call from an Indian phone number wasn’t a scam however driver not at all punctual in arriving at agreed outdoor airport collection location. Arrived at the hotel and Ahmed and James duty manager initially unable to find our reservation. Due to the issue we were offered an upgraded room with an amazing view on the 36th great service recieved from both Ahmed and James with the service recovery thank you for the drinks and breakie vouchers Room was very clean, you could hear the lift breaks grrrring from the room when it reached the top floor. Pillows were way too soft. Mini bar pricing scandalous not even a complimentary water on arrival in the room which was surprising for a luxury hotel plenty of local shops to buy water locally LOOK OUT FOR amenity tax we were given a card explaining $35 a day + local taxes. However you get a credit back see image. Check your bill as we had a final bill of $40 a day plus taxes. In a luxury hotel again would have expected this to have been checked before being presented. Overall Times Square is a great base to stay in a lot of hotels to choose from in a close area. With such a lot of local competition would have expected a more luxury experience from IHG Read less
