Kimpton Hotel Eventi

Midtown, New York

Star rating

The hotel

It may sit in one of the world’s priciest zip codes, but the radically revamped Kimpton Hotel Eventi has taken over an entire block of Manhattan – proudly showing off that fact with a wall of street-level windows giving passers-by glimpses of its dining and drinking venues. Of course, as a guest, you get to experience the glitzy world beyond those windows (and beyond the view-grabbing floor-to-ceiling windows in every guestroom). Part chic hotel, part art gallery (both in keeping with its artsy Chelsea address), its new lobby feels more like a designer’s living room thanks to the fashion-forward furniture, coffee table books, and warmly lit artworks. And, within four blocks of the Empire State Building, The High Line, and Macy’s, there’s no shortage of dining outside, but Chef Laurent Tourondel has made ‘dining in’ a must, with his Italian-influenced and industrial-styled L’Amico and The Vine.

Chris helped us with our car and bags and let me tell you, he is an absolute master of his craft. We had so many bags that we definitely did not think that they could possibly fit in our car but chris made it happen. He expertly “tetrised” everything so we didn’t have to stop at the post and ship anything saving us money and time. Huge gratitude… Read more

Huge gratitude for his expertise, kindness and comedic relief while I was stressed about bringing tooooo much stuff back home after a wonderful trip visiting family. We will definitely be back. There are many hotels to choose from in NYC but it’s an extra perk to have hospitality service that goes above and beyond. Thank you, Hotel Eventi for a wonderful stay and even more wonderful employees like Chris! Read less

Kimpton Eventi has become our go-to every time we’re in New York, and for good reason. The rooms are consistently spotless, spacious (a rarity in the city), and thoughtfully designed with a rustic-modern aesthetic that feels both stylish and comfortable. There’s real attention to detail here—from the cozy lighting to the oversized bathrooms—and you never feel cramped the way you do in most Manhattan hotels. The service is what keeps us coming back. Big shoutout to Wen, who found my earrings while vacuuming and left them safely in the bathroom for me—such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Celine has always been incredible, offering spot-on food recommendations and a warm welcome every time. The front desk staff, across the board, are kind, accommodating, and genuinely go out of their way to make us feel taken care of. This time, they gave us a lovely high-floor room with great views. Location-wise, Eventi is hard to beat. You’re walking distance to so many major spots—Flatiron, Chelsea, Koreatown, Hudson Yards—and there’s great food, coffee, and shopping all around. It feels central without feeling chaotic. Every stay here feels effortless, and we’re already looking forward to the next one. Read less
