Image of the Tripadvisor rating A great place to rest after a busy day in NYC!

We booked a twin room and ended up on the Penthouse floor where you could also access the roof top bar when open. Beds very comfy and ample sized bathroom - with plenty of mirrors but none in the bedroom! The staff were lovely and we always had a fab welcome at any time of the day. On Floor 2 there is a gym and a room where, in addition to the tea/coffee machine in our room, you could get ice or hot/cold drinks and fruit or a biscuit at any time of day/night to take away. The hotel has its own bar and access to the restaurant next door, Black Tap burgers and craft beer where the food is great and they do these amazing shakes with cakes attached (to see them was enough, we didn’t try them!). The location of the hotel is excellent, the subway is at the end of the street as is Macy’s and I would highly recommend the hotel. Read less

Business travelers avoid! While the rooms were clean, comfortable, and acceptable, this hotel’s draconian cancellation policy is a dealbreaker. My flight to NYC was canceled, forcing a one-day delay. I immediately contacted the hotel to advise of my delay. Despite staying the rest of the week, I was slapped with a $275 no-show fee for the first… Read more

I immediately contacted the hotel to advise of my delay. Despite staying the rest of the week, I was slapped with a $275 no-show fee for the first night. I requested a removal of the fee, but their staff was unyielding. In 25+ years of business travel, I’ve never encountered such an inflexible policy. Most major brands, like Hilton or Marriott, accommodate travel disruptions with understanding. If you’re traveling for business, I strongly recommend choosing a name-brand property instead. Read less

We stayed here during the fifth leg of our honeymoon trip to the USA. First impressions were excellent — check-in was smooth with clear communication about resort and security deposit fees, which was greatly appreciated. The room we were given was slightly larger than your typical New York City hotel room — a real bonus. It was clean, modern, and well-equipped. The hotel itself was well maintained, and the complimentary water bottles and access to the drink and snack room on the second floor were thoughtful touches that we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the quality of sleep during our stay was poor, which significantly impacted our overall experience. While the bed was perfectly comfortable, we stayed on the 8th floor at the front of the hotel, and the soundproofing from the street and nearby rooftops was virtually non-existent. To make matters worse, the room had wooden blinds instead of blackout curtains, which did little to block the bright office lights from across the street. Because of this, I can only give the hotel 3 stars. With proper soundproofing and blackout blinds, this would be a fantastic, well-located option in the heart of Manhattan. Such a shame, as everything else was spot on. Read less
