Wonderful hotel and experience centrally located in midtown Manhattan. Would highly recommend the towers. Newer rooms with queen beds overall wonderful experience.

The problem with this place is both physical plant and staffing. We had requested hypoallergenic bedding and had confirmation in advance. When we checked in, though, our bed was made up with feather bedding, and it took housekeeping an hour to fix it, and they shook a lot of feathers into the room in the process. It was just unnecessary. Our room, a Studio Suite, has had a lot of spot upgrades but was fundamentally dated. I don’t mind quality/old/out of date but it has to be well maintained. The paint in the shower was peeling. The bathroom is a lot of hodgepodge. There is no coffee maker. As a couple we gave the bed a mixed review. The walls are so thin we could hear our neighbor every time he coughed or flushed the toilet. This told us that just talking could be heard next door. We also thought the street noise was high even being on the 24th floor. I give the lobby experience low marks. There was a check-out line, which we hate. If there is a line, the systems do not work. That’s not premium. There was also an extended wait at the bell station, while we stood around listening to the phone ring. The whole experience ends with a $25/day historical preservation charge. We did think the door people were helpful and engaged. No pool. There was a decent spa at least. It’s just not for us.
