We stayed for 5 nights at the Moxy on a recent trip and it was a great base for our New York stay. The room we had was compact but a great use of the available space and we managed fine as two adults with two large suitcases. The only thing I would have changed would be to not have the bed against the wall as I had to climb over my partner if I needed to get out in the night but this wasn’t a huge issue and again it did maximise the available space.
The hotel bar was nice as was the coffee shop next door and a $20 dollar credit per day to use in either of these was a nice touch, as was the complimentary drinks cart that was there most evenings when we came back.
All the staff we dealt with were excellent especially Joanne who was super helpful. The lifts were pretty efficient and the luggage storage in the basement was great on our last day.
Although we could hear noise from the street in our 9th floor room the sound proofing was pretty good and we slept well. All in all a fantastic location and a great place for a city break.

Jeffrey on the front reception was excellent and got us to our room quickly which was amazing as we had just done a 24 hour trip with two young kids.

The first night our room was right outside the lifts and all i could here was the squeaking of the lift and the music when the doors opened all night.
On the wedding day the make up artist my wife used was sitting in the lobby 20 minutes as the staff were saying that we had never checked-in so they almost didn't have enough time to complete their job. We had let the reception know the names and times of any party that was arriving to help us.
Our stay wasn't negative, the hotel is good, location good, rooms clean. The staff were helpful when we asked to change rooms and the bakery/rooftop bar is great. The above were little things that went wrong but our stay was generally positive
