The bed was nice but the shower leaked. The room smelled weird and there was not enough room to turn around. My wife could not even open her bag it was so tight. The staff was incredible and that is what made the experience at least positive. We will not be booking again

Myself and partner stayed here for 5 nights in a fashionista king room. We expected the room to be a lot smaller after reading some of the reviews but we were pleased with the room size and there was adequate storage. Bathroom was well appointed with powerful shower although no handheld attachment. The bed was huge and quite comfy although didn’t find the pillows the best. The room was cleaned every 2nd day to a high standard. Towels and bathroom cosmetics were all good and smelled amazing. Free water bottle that can be refilled in reception with cold/sparkling or hot water as many times as you like. Cookies in reception in the late afternoon daily. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a great location for exploring and for using the subway. We were happy with our stay and loved exploring NYC. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was I had emailed the hotel before we visited to explain this was a special visit for a big birthday for my partner but they didn’t do anything special in the room. The daily amenity fee is $29 per day and includes the water etc mentioned above and also includes WiFi and use of the hotels bikes. A security fee was taken upon arrival and refunded within a few days of leaving. Read less

There used to be more bougie boutique hotels just like this in midtown, but I don't see as many anymore. But I LOVE this one!! I did pay extra to check in early, but after a red eye flight, I really needed to sleep asap. There used to be more bougie boutique hotels just like this in midtown, but I don't see as many anymore. But I LOVE this one!! I did pay extra to check in early, but after a red eye flight, I really needed to sleep asap. But they gave me a welcome gift (since I'm an Expedia platinum member), a cute insulated mug with lid with the hotels logo!! VERY cute!! This hotel is swanky, quaint, and the location is great for tourists and theater goers. What really impressed me was the little details, like the little pineapples on everything, and the little stuffed dog that was my little buddy during my stay (available for purchase for $25, proceeds go to charity. His name is Dash). There's a safe and a Keurig coffeemaker. There's no fridge, but they give a bottle of water and you can go downstairs and refill it as much as you like. Also the elevators are not key card operated, but there's someone downstairs 24/7. The duvet covers are like sleeping in a cloud. There are plenty of outlets, even in the bathroom cabinet, which is also lighted and mirrored on the inside! Tons of mirrors everywhere in this small bathroom. There are dispensers on the wall for shampoo, bath gel, lotions, but the gel-like toiletries come out easily, but anything "creamy" (like conditioner or lotion), not so much. So the stuff I brought from home came in handy. They also have their own version of "Alexa" in the rooms, but instead say, "Hey, Pineapple...." Housekeeping straightens up your room after every 2 nights of your stay, which was just great, and they're not making a ton of noise and screaming at each other in the halls like most of the hotels in that area. I was also impressed at how quiet everything was. Or maybe I just lucked out. Anyway, this is very ideal of the type of hotel I'd like to stay in every time I come to NYC. I cannot wait to stay here again! Read less

Small room, but thoughtfully designed. Clean and quiet and TWO stools! We could both sit and work at small pullout desks. The location is perfect, midtown. So easy to get to lower Manhattan, the East Side, Chelsea, and Upper Westside. Great stay!
