This is a small hotel on 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, very close to Penn Station, MSG, Hudson Yards, and easy walking to Times Square and more. Staff is friendly, room is tiny, but very clean. We were in a standard king room. An idea of how small it was is that one side (by the window) had no space between the mattress and the air conditioner unit, so I had to enter the bed by climbing in from the bottom. Bathroom is well-designed but small. Great mirrored cabinet with room for toiletries. Good quality shower. No real place to sit, work, etc. Bed uses European-style blankets (twin comforters wrapped in sheets). Good linens, good TV and choice of channels. Hotel is bare-bones. No gym, no room fridge (water at reception with reusable bottle), no dining, no parking. General sense is that this is really convenient, a very comfortable bed, but not a feasible place if you need to work or plan to spend much time in the room. Read less

The location was ideal—just a short walk from Penn Station, a couple of blocks from the theaters and places I wanted to visit, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and stores. The staff was incredibly friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I had everything I needed. I also loved the thoughtful touch of a reusable water bottle in the room. The space was small, so I’m not sure how it would feel with another person, but I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in town. Read less

A great hotel in a good location walking distance to time square, Hudson yard and others. Clean and well maintained. Free water bottle was do useful we got another so we had 1 each. 2 quilts was also a fab idea. I would definitely stay here again. A fridge in the room would of been a great asset

Not prioritizing guests in elevator (they appear not to have a service elevator for bringing up and down trash, linens, etc. they do not get off the elevator to let guests use. Also the hotel does not have enough bicycles to accommodate guest demand, even though they charge $34 per day amenity fee which includes bike use. For these reasons I will not be staying here again. What a wonderful family stay in NYC. What I loved about the hotel was the comfort of the bed, the water softness and pressure in the shower, and last but not least the staff. The benefits of a smaller hotel is that you don't feel like another number, a staff member is always there to help when needed and we never had to wait for an elevator and barely saw other guests. I would 100% stay here again. Only downside is floor space around the bed, there's barely any, but we were hardly in our rooms. We stayed in Cosmo connectors and had great views! Read less
