The hotel

Broadway, Times Square, Radio City Hall - just some of the iconic New York attractions that are pretty much right at your doorstep when you stay at the Tempo by Hilton New York Times Square. Housed in a 46-storey building, you enter the lobby on the 11th floor - elevated from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Midtown, so you already feel as if you're in your own haven. The hotel itself is stylish and modern, offering both comfort and functionality for solo travellers and couples alike. The outdoor terrace at Highball is a particular highlight. Look over the heart of the city whilst you enjoy innovative cocktails and delicious sharing plates, whatever time of day! There are bicycles available to explore further out, but if you want to keep your feet on the ground - there's so much within walking distance, and you're never far from a subway station either.

Very average hotel considering it’s a 4 star hotel and the hidden charges are appalling. We arrived at the hotel and I to hand over 700 dollars! This being a combination of destination tax and a deposit for a week! It’s a good job I saved up enough money!!

Absolutely fantastic location right on Times Square. You simply can’t get any closer to the action! Excellent value, good size of room and helpful and friendly staff. Organised our return transport to the airport without an issue. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but menu looked decent and there was a well stocked shop at reception also.

We had a fantastic time at the Tempo by Hilton Times Square. Every staff member we had encountered was so nice and helpful. The restaurant catered very well for my son's food allergy. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Research fully first, do not book based on the name alone. Huge let down!

Did not rate this hotel at all. No bottle water for guests, $9 to buy from hotel “shop”, empty mini bar fridge, a $400 deposit payable on check in which we weren’t informed of beforehand on top of the “resort tax” no opening windows, no balcony, no personal touches at all, was a huge let down by the Hilton group on our first visit to New York!

Great location - couldn't be a better place to base out of to go all directions. Nice looking hotel. Rooms are lovely with nice views (if you are high enough!) VERY comfy beds. The bar/restaurant area looks nice but has terrible cocktails, and so is the prosecco. We had one drink before going to our room - didn't finish them. Careful if you didn't… Read more

The bar/restaurant area looks nice but has terrible cocktails, and so is the prosecco. We had one drink before going to our room - didn't finish them. Careful if you didn't book direct because the agents don't tell you about the hidden hotel charges of 40 dollars per day which is inclusive of wifi, hire bikes, and a snack whether you use it or not - we were literally told "use it or lose it" when questioned what it was - not the most professional response to say the least.
