Where is it

In Midtown East, as handy for its sightseeing as it is for its business connections, the hotel is steps from restaurants and wine bars, and just a few blocks from Fifth Avenue’s St Patrick’s Cathedral. Transfer time from John F. Kennedy International Airport: 30 minutes.

252 rooms and suites. All with flatscreen HDTV, iHome docking station, WiFi access*, mini-fridge, coffee maker, safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

Standard Rooms are approx 325-400 sq ft with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Studio Suites are 433 sq ft and have a kitchenette with hob, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and toaster with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Junior Suites are larger at 507 sq ft with a living area with sleeper sofa, kitchenette with hob, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and toaster with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 5 adults.

Lobby Lounge with iMac computers. European Continental Breakfast available in the Club Room from 7.00–10:30am for a fee $20 per person (payable locally, fee subject to change and excludes tax & gratuity). The Cupboard* (snacks and souvenirs, in lobby). 24-hour gym. Laundry facilities*. Complimentary WiFi in lobby. Valet parking $65 plus tax per day, or $75 plus tax per day for oversized vehicles (payable locally; subject to change).

ROACHES GALORE! I had 2 in my room. Maintenance was helpful in removing them and supplying cleaning supplies. Management never called me- I asked for a refund to leave the hotel as it was infested with roaches but was told that the manager on duty could not do so. His manager never called me. Stay away!

nice hotel and good location, stayed only 2 nights before a cruise, my only problem was they took $89.50 from my credit card without any explanation, we didn’t spend while staying there so confused as to why they took this, our stay was booked and payed for as a package by our travel agent, have emailed hotel twice but never got a reply

An Amazing Experience at 50 Sonesta Hotel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My stay at the 50 Sonesta Hotel was absolutely wonderful! The location is perfect—super convenient and easy to get around. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I’m so sorry I can’t remember the name of the person who checked us in, but he truly set the tone for a great stay with his warm welcome. Romeo also stood out with his exceptional hospitality—so friendly and attentive! The room was supersized, spotless, and the terrace had amazing views that made the experience unforgettable. Another wonderful stay at Fifty Sonesta! We’ve been staying at this fine hotel annually for several years. The entire staff is welcoming and friendly and make us feel like family. Our rooms were spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated! Look forward to our next visit!

Location and value for money are unbeatable. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable and impeccably clean, although the bathroom was quite small for such a large apartment. The common areas need an urgent sprucing up, and breakfast buffet could be improved. But, overall, a great stay.
