Spacious Suite & Great Location, But Service Needs Work

We stayed in the top suite at Thompson Central Park, paying around $3,000 a night. For New York, the space was outstanding—large enough to entertain business guests and still comfortable for working. The location is fantastic, making it easy to get around the city, and access to the lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks was a nice touch.
On the downside, several in-room features were broken, including the record player and the TV connection, which were never fixed during the stay. Service was just okay—on par with typical U.S. standards, but not what you’d expect at this price point.
Overall, the suite itself was excellent in size and layout, but the overall experience didn’t quite justify the cost. Compared to nearby options like the Mandarin or Trump Tower, Thompson Central Park doesn’t reach the same level. Would I stay again? Possibly—but I’d probably try another property first to compare.

Great overall experience. Staff was awesome, and the hotel was perfectly nice. Really great location near Central Park, as well.

Once again, the Thompson Central Park does not disappoint. Consistent quality each time I have stayed there and exceptional service and dining. The location cant be beat for train access, UES, UWS, Midtown, and the hotel opens to both 56th and 57th Streets. This property is on par with the Park Hyatt.
