From check in to check out the hotel staff were kind, caring and served guests with high quality. “Budget friendly” hotels in New York often get bad reputations, but I would stay here over and over again for the cleanliness, amenities and care of the people. The gym was clean and well kept, the breakfast had all of the essentials that you would ask for (coffee, teas, pastries, eggs, oatmeal bar, yogurt, non dairy milks, etc) and was of high quality. Being in Times Square, I expected the room to be loud at night, but the sound was kept at a minimum which was a pleasant surprise. My one critique would be that there should be a safe in the room. Keep up the great work, hope to be back again! Read less

This is a much belated review. This was a fantastic hotel. Excellent service, perfect location and wonderful staff. If you thought hotel rooms in Paris were small… wait till you see the rooms here. Hubby and I visited and there is barely I’m to put our two suitcases. Room is clean though. There is no AC in the elevator hallway on the 20 th floor and you’ll wait at least 11 minutes to get an AC elevator down in the morning. I felt like I needed another shower and change of clothes from sweating, after waiting forever in that hallway for an elevator. The most frustrating g part is waiting 11 minutes for an elevator. Don’t know even think about getting coffee or seated for the free breakfast in the am as it’s way too crowded. Wish I could live this place more as it’s in a great location but I won’t ever stay here again. There are too many other better options in NYC. Read less

This is a relatively small hotel under the Marriott chain of hotels. The biggest ‘Positive’ is its location—close to many theatres and not far from Times Square. We found the staff very friendly, efficient and responsive. Our room was of medium size but good for a New York budget hotel. It had a kitchenette. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The HVAC controls worked, so we were able to set the room temperature that was comfortable for us. We have stayed in many a hotel where this is not the case. In short, we had no complaints with our room. The breakfast buffet, which is included in the room rate, was surprisingly good. The problem is there is very limited seating space. The area becomes very crowded and loud, with people jostling for food. The Lobby area is an extremely tight space. We fortunately checked in early and avoided the rush. We noticed that when several people arrive at the same time, the area becomes very cramped with luggage lying all over. The scene immediately took me back to my days when I was staying in youth hostels The elevator is excruciatingly slow, exasperated when staff use it. Some rooms have their entrance extremely close to the elevator, so try to stay away from having one of those rooms, since guests having a long wait for the elevator, will be talking right outside your door. In conclusion, we got value for our money but the crowded common areas may result in us looking elsewhere when are next in NYC Read less

This was a fabulous hotel - the staff were outstanding. location was excellent for Times Square and Broadway plays. The breakfast was a full buffet with great food choices. The subway was just down the street. The rooms were small but very clean and had a stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishes to use. Will definitely come back again!!
