We're a family of three who stayed at Hotel Beacon for a week in the beginning of July 2025. For two of us, including my six-year-old daughter, this was our first time visiting NYC / the US. I'm so glad we chose this hotel. First, the service was excellent. Every employee was so kind, but a special shoutout to Luke, who made us feel welcome instantaneously. Second, the hotel is located near a metro station (72 St) as well as Central Park, which is very convenient - especially when you have a six-year-old child (the turtles in The Lake in Central Park was the main attraction for her, and the park also offered some much-needed shadow in the NYC summer heat). Third, we really enjoyed the neighborhood, as well as the Fairway Market of 74th Street and its café upstairs. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend this hotel to our family and friends in Denmark. Read less

Had booked through Expedia. Asked about an upgrade to king size bed. Just a few $$ more and got a suite. Comfortable bed. Large bathtub for girlfriend. Kitchen area with coffee and tea and post and pans and even a stove. Fantastic view. Checking was smooth and employees were helpful. Bus boys held our bags to let us wander the… Read more

Hotel Beacon is a gem! The location is unbeatable—just steps from Central Park and the subway. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a kitchenette, which was so convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return!

We stayed four nights at Hotel Beacon while in town to visit friends and attend a college graduation. We chose Hotel Beacon because of the location as well as the availability for a king size bed. Not all hotel rooms throughout the Manhattan area offer king beds. Our room wasn’t available at noon when we arrived, which was totally fine, by the time we walked to Central Park, grabbed a bite to eat and came back, our room was ready. The location was just two blocks away from the local subway Station, lines one, two and three. The fairway grocery across the street had everything you could ever want, the café downstairs offered great breakfast. My husband thought the room was a little worn, I didn’t think so, it was nice to have a kitchenette with a small coffee maker, wine opener, plates, stove, silverware and refrigerator. Could’ve used a few more amenities such as wine glasses or a dish drying rack, but you can ask housekeeping to bring those things. Housekeeping services were available every day, and if you need anything like extra towels, are a refresh, they’re happy to accommodate. Would absolutely stay here again, due to location, service and surrounding services. Read less

I stayed at the Hotel Beacon in New York from March 30 to April 4, and while the stay itself was fine, what happened afterward was completely unacceptable. On April 30, the hotel charged my credit card over €287 without any explanation or prior notice. Since then, my travel agency and I have been repeatedly contacting the hotel requesting a credit note and a clear explanation for the charge. Despite multiple follow-ups, we have received no response at all. The lack of communication and accountability is extremely unprofessional and disappointing, especially from a hotel of this level. Until this issue is resolved, I cannot recommend the Hotel Beacon. Travelers deserve transparency and respect—neither of which we received. Read less
