Really disappointed

Checked in for a fully paid 3 night stay. My friends and I were allocated rooms 602 and 702. These rooms are dark and look directly into other rooms about 6ft away. This means the blinds have to be closed for privacy at all times. At no time were we made aware that rooms directly overlooking other rooms existed. Front desk in some confusion as their system was upgraded and not fully functioning on check in. Apparently rooms are only serviced if requested and staff available. Hyatt this is well below expectations. Currently waiting to see if they will rectify this appalling situation. Read less

Could be good... Too Pricy for what it is.

Location is the primary plus of this hotel if you want to be near the Space Needle. This hotel is not typical... they do not provide housekeeping services unless requested and then only if available. The room layouts are super odd and not a suite like advertised. The sofa bed faces the other two beds and the television just rotates to be on one side or another. The front desk staff seem nice but also seem to be condescending. This is almost a wonderful place, but the price is way too high for what you get. Unless you specifically need a dishwasher (normal size, but with duct tape fixes) a TINY fridge, a stove and microwave, I'd look elsewhere. Cleanliness seems questionable as we saw things on our floor we didn't have (peanuts and other crumbs). Blinds are not fully functional. One fell down during our stay. The breakfast looks good at first but it's greasy and slimy like I've never seen, at this level of accommodation. The hours are also short. Elevators seem like to have a mind of their own and are not secured with key like they are supposed to be most of the time. Many small cosmetic issues like trash can missing plastic trim piece resulting in a cut finger. Someone just needs to take charge and make this place what it's supposed to be. Read less

Easy check-in/out, had street parking options as well as on-site, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice addition. We had a brief stay and appreciated the extreme convenience regarding proximity to Seattle Center, the Space Needle, and various nearby attractions. Terrific property with convenient access to sightseeing attractions

We had selected our stay at the Hyatt House Downtown Seattle based on other reviews and are so glad our experience reflected the positive feedback of others! Comfortable room space with an amazing view of the Space Needle allowed our family of four to spread out in between the sitting and sleeping areas of the room. We used the refrigerator and microwave for storing and reheating leftovers from restaurants and the fully supplied kitchen was helpful. The property had underground parking which was directly accessible by one of the elevators, as well as a rooftop terrace with a peaceful view of the city (and that famous Space Needle). Breakfast was a nice spread with multiple options for all sorts of dietary constraints, i.e., vegan and dairy-free, gluten free. There were plentiful hot options such as eggs and oatmeal as well as cold cereals, fruit, granola, salad bar, chia pudding and assorted breads. The service was friendly and food station areas and tables were clean. Most importantly, this hotel was easily walkable to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass and had access to the Monorail as well as public bus and metro options for ease of transit throughout the city. If you're looking at only sightseeing Seattle downtown and Public Market with the Great Wheel or ferry access to Bainbridge, you absolutely don't need to rent a car to explore the city from this location as your home base. This area also felt safer at night as we returned late compared with other parts of the city. Front desk professionals were helpful and courteous at check in and check out and friendly enough to assist with directions and local queries. We would definitely stay at this particular property again, as well as seek out Hyatt House stays in other cities in the future. Read less

The room was great. Would suggest adding a door between sitting area and the bedroom. It was not possible for us to watch both tv's due to location being so close.
