“Bobby at the Benson, a rare gem”

The restaurant at the Benson was a pure delight, particularly because of the wonderful hospitality of Bobby, a member of the wait staff. Bobby was very generous with an overview of Portland's special attractions which qas much appreciated given it was my first trip to the city. The food was great and the accommodations were lovely. Would definitely recommend a visit!

I’ve had the pleasure of attending the Benson Hotel’s Jazz Revival concerts, held every Wednesday evening in the hotel lobby from 5 to 7 pm. These events have been nothing short of delightful. While I wouldn’t call myself a lifelong jazz enthusiast, the performances have sparked a genuine appreciation for the genre. Thanks to the thoughtful production by Elevate Unity, the series features Portland’s legendary female vocalists and all-star bands performing classic jazz. The ambiance, talent, and energy create a truly memorable experience. I commend the Benson Hotel for its commitment to hosting these concerts. It’s a meaningful gesture—honoring the rich musical heritage of jazz, celebrating local artistry, and offering guests and locals alike a chance to connect through music. This initiative not only enriches the cultural fabric of Portland but also sets a shining example of how hospitality can embrace and elevate the arts.
