That was my first question after I found bits of food left on a bedside table. If the room had been cleaned (and sheets changed!) between guests, there shouldn't be bits of food left around. Otherwise the place is OK and conveniently located downtown. Walls are thin; you can hear people in the halls and the next rooms. Do not wait until the last half-hour to get breakfast; they might run out of your preferred food by then, and the dining area can be very crowded on a weekend. Breakfast is not particularly nutritious--cornflakes and rice crispies, plain bagels, fried stuff--standard, bland American foods plus makings for breakfast tacos. If you don't need to park a car, the price is reasonable when you just need the basics. Read less

This is probably a good place for people on a budget that want to be center city and get a large and free breakfast. For me it was over crowded, too noisy, too many big chaotic families. Rooms are clean and nice in a minamilist way Free internet. When I was there the elevator broke and it seems there are only two so there were lines to get to… Read more

Rooms are clean and nice in a minamilist way Free internet. When I was there the elevator broke and it seems there are only two so there were lines to get to one's room. Management couldn't help that- but perhaps some gesture to make it fun (coffee, soft drinks, whatever) could have helped. Still that wasn't the real reason I would never go again- it is a budget answer for big families and I am older and either on my own or with my husband. Read less

The reviews of this place don't lie. One of the best hotel experience I've ever had. That's not to say is a five star - it's more bare bones. But it nails the basics. Customer service is top shelf. I can't think of a place that was ok with my 4 kids trashing the room and pushing elevator buttons repeatedly. They don't have a pool but were able… Read more

I can't think of a place that was ok with my 4 kids trashing the room and pushing elevator buttons repeatedly. They don't have a pool but were able to get us passes to another pool, which is normally expensive (not making promises). The staff is overly helpful and is always aiming for "yes". Which you expect at 4 seasons but always pay extra for. Breakfast buffet is good, lots of food, no Michelin star but it's solid for what it is. Coffee is good from 630-930 daily. The all day menu takes a while to get food on, it's decent but nothing earth shattering. They are cool if you uber food and use the dining room - they even gave us silverware. If you care, they have some decent bar selections, including bourbon, wine and beer. Prices are decent there too. Parking is very expensive. One of the reasons we used uber. Excellent choice. Great value for the location with breakfast included. Parking is $60 with $7 valet but seems to be the normal in Austin. Overall a very nice hotel..
