Very nice stay. Room was large and well equipped and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was above average with lots of options and was restocked quickly. It was a Saturday morning but was glad breakfast was available till 10am.

We had a very relaxing stay at the Hyatt Gateway. The room was very well laid out & the bed & bedding were so comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great, we really enjoyed the coffee & yogurt/fruit bar. Also the location near the Gateway was easily walkable for a good choice of restaurants for dinner.

Hotel is recently remodeled. Convenient downtown location. Was here for concert at the Depot which is ridiculously close. Not even 5 minute walk. Biggest issue was the crowd over amemorial Day. We expect busy but the hotel must have been hosting a number of families for a school aged sporting event (looks like soccer). The hotel lobby in the evening and afternoon was completely overrun with kids everywhere. Most appeared unsupervised. Kids were even throwing a small wiffle like ball in the hotel lobby elevator area one of which landed right in the elevator as we came down to the lobby to leave. Hotel pool was also difficult to use with so many kids and no adults anywhere. These kids were between 12-16. About a dozen kids were in the pool throwing a volleyball making more of it unusable for my daughter who is 9. The kids weren't impolite but the staff should have stopped the overly rough play since there were a lot of kids in the pool. It feels like the hotel was understaffed and couldn't manage the chaos. Room itself was fine and hallway fairly quiet. Definitely a disappointment for a Hyatt level hotel. Read less

We had an issue where we got double charged on two separate stays. The manager Brandon was a huge help in figuring out the situation and helping us get our money back and then correcting the stays we had booked. Awesome guy, he should get a raise!

The best thing about this Hyatt is the location. There’s so much to do within walking distance. The building itself must have been nice 20 years ago but it’s slightly dated now. The tv was not mounted to a wall and divided our room. No streaming or casting to it either. Just live tv. They didn’t have decaf at the breakfast and no waffle makers,… Read more
The best thing about this Hyatt is the location. There’s so much to do within walking distance. The building itself must have been nice 20 years ago but it’s slightly dated now. The tv was not mounted to a wall and divided our room. No streaming or casting to it either. Just live tv. They didn’t have decaf at the breakfast and no waffle makers, things we typically expect at this level of hotel. The staff were not friendly and were often missing from The front desk altogether. We had dishes we put in the hall for collection and the staff were rude and unprofessional in the way they corrected us to not do this, even though other guests were doing so and this is a common thing in many hotels. The cleaners in the hall scowled at us and said nothing when we passed them and excused ourselves for stopping their sweeping. The vibe of this place was that management didn’t really care about customer service and viewed customers as an inconvenience to their day. Then there’s the parking- $-15 a day to park in their lot, no opt out option and there were no spaces available. So we paid but got no parking. Read less
