Very affordable and close to everything. We loved the clean room, hotel amenities and free breakfast. The rooms are well stocked with coffee and tea.

I travel through SLC relatively often and have stayed at Hyatt properties from Provo to Farmington. I usually stay at the Hyatt House downtown but they were full on this trip, so chose Hyatt Place downtown, which is just a few blocks away. I like the location because of the selection of restaurants that are in walking distance. Overall, my stay was what I expected from the Hyatt brand. It’s why I choose to stay at their properties. Check in was fast and courteous, my room was quiet, clean and comfortable. And check out was also fast and friendly. My score is only 4 “stars” because of the breakfast experience. Usually, there is plenty of product available, and if not, it is replenished quickly. Not the case this time. Apparently the large crowd overwhelmed the kitchen staff and there were only a stack of cold waffles, a few sausages, 1/8 of a pitcher of OJ, and very little else. Hopefully this was an anomaly and their breakfast service is usually much better. Read less

I would be very wary of selecting this hotel for your trip. Stayed there on part of vacation trip, rooms were acceptable, and your standard hotel breakfast offered, nothing special. I would be very wary of selecting this hotel for your trip. Stayed there on part of vacation trip, rooms were acceptable, and your standard hotel breakfast offered, nothing special. At conclusion of my trip I received my bill hardcopy which was correct. However, on my credit card I had another charge for a room I never booked. I tried contacting the hotel twice, once they told me the manager was not there and no one else could answer my questions, the second time he wasn't available and would call me back. Never did. Fortunately, I contested the charge through my card company and the charge will not be paid to the hotel. Will stay somewhere else next time I visit SLC. Read less

Clean rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast! The pull out bed in the living area was nice to create separation between adults and kids!

I came down to the front desk to change the room. The front desk agent without a name tag informed me that she cannot check me into another room because they were completely sold out which was a lie because they were still selling rooms online! She finally checked into a room where the traffic noise from outside was unbearable! Please stay away from this property for your safety and comfort! Read less
