Getting Around

The primary way to get around inside Zion National Park and Springdale is the Zion National Park Shuttle system. It operates within the park, making stops at nine scenic locations, including popular spots like the Temple of Sinawava, the Angels Landing trailhead, and Zion Lodge. The shuttle begins at the Zion Visitor Centre, located just a 3–5 minute walk from Cable Mountain Lodge, making it incredibly convenient for guests. Running from March through late November, the shuttle arrives approximately every 10–15 minutes during peak hours.

Cable Mountain Lodge doesn’t have a traditional sit-down restaurant, bar, or room service inside the lodge itself. But the great news is, there are plenty of dining options just a quick 1 to 3-minute walk away. You can easily grab food and drinks nearby and bring them back to your room or patio to enjoy at your own pace.

“Would stay again at Cable Mountain Lodge if hiking Zion”

We stayed at the Cable Mountain Lodge and would definitely recommend it. The location was perfect with walking path to Zion. Room was great - very clean, has fridge, coffee maker, small table. Market next door has great sandwich's and snacks to pack for hikes. There is also a laundry on site, pool, hot tub (we didn't use - but nice to know). Front desk staff was very nice.

This is in the top 5% of places I’ve ever stayed. Most important to me is cleanliness and the housekeeping staff does an outstanding job. Met my very high standards (some dust on baseboard behind bed is literally the only cleaning flaw I noted). The carpet was super soft and felt great on bare feet (usually I won’t even take off my socks in a hotel room). I loved the gigantic towels in the bathroom and the REAL, quality bath mat, instead of the usual towel-as-bath mat. We had a full kitchen (which we didn’t use at all) and a dining area which we used for our takeout breakfasts from Perks. My favorite thing about this place was its location. We walked to Perks for breakfast, smoothies and coffee every morning. We walked into Zion to catch a shuttle everyday. We walked to the brewery for dinner several nights. Basically we didn’t need a car at all once we arrived though we didn’t use it one night to chase the moonrise. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after long hikes. It was nice to have separate space for our kiddo, though he is spoiled and complained about the fold-out sofa bed. We loved our comfy king size bed, however. This is a beautiful place to stay as I’d really recommend it.

Superb location right near Zion National Park entrance, this lodge is clean and friendly. The rooms are big - a little dated - but perfectly adequate. The breakfast cafe Perks is ideal to grab something before an early start into the park. The village of Springdale is close by
