“Don't second guess it, just book it.”

If youre looking to stay in Winchester and you want an above average experience don't even second guess this option. I was looking for a place to stay on the drive home from a kind of rough vacation experience that would be relaxing and would allow us to unwind. (Im a very research oriented hotel booker...I will read 200 reviews first before I spend money) But because of the previous 6 days I was reserved.
I worried for no reason. This hotel was amazing. We even discussed coming back to Winchester just for the hotel.
Hotel staff were polite and accommodating in the extreme.
The property is beautiful. It has a lot of history and its present in the building design without being inconvenient. We booked a junior suite because I wanted a glass shower, and the site said it came with a wet bar, which seems to be an extinct concept anymore in hotels.
The room was everything and more. The junior suite we received came with a king canopy style bed, a working gas fireplace which easily turned on with a dial, a huge flat-screen TV, and a large French doored bathroom with a double sink granite vanity, a large soaking whirlpool hot tub, a glass shower with 3 different shower heads and adjustable pressure(which was wonderful). The bed was crazy comfortable and the room came with an extra, heavier comforter in the closet which I needed for the weight.
I told my husband it felt like every piece of our stay had been polished and smoothed out. Even the toilet paper rolled completely smoothly! (Silly I know, but its a dumb thing I notice) It really was such a relief to walk into that room after the drive.
We also checked out the Roman bath style pool area downstairs. It was a beautiful space with salt water systems and a nice calm feel to it. My husband especially loved soaking in the hot tub before resuming our drive.
We didnt get to try out the bar area because we arrived only 20 minutes before they closed for the night, but we had breakfast at the main restaurant in the morning and the food was great. Homemade and quality everything. I had Belgian waffles with a warm blueberry compote and lemon-ricotta dollop, finished with a hot toddy. The corned beef hash was hand cut.
I could wax poetic about this experience for an absurd amount of time, but suffice to say, in my humble opinion, just book it. And if you can, just spend the extra money for the suite. We spent 30% less money on this amazing stay than we did on a regular chain suite the previous week. And even if we had gone for broke and purchased the most expensive suite here it still wouldn't have touched the cost of the sub par stay we had at the other place.
The Washington is 100% worth what you pay.

It’s a Wyndham Grand so it’s not bad and as far as other WGs it is quite good. It is close and convenient to downtown and its amenities. The rooms are nice and the overall experience is good with clean quiet rooms. The lobby, parking, on site amenities are nice - again its a WG so its not gonna blow you away nor is it going to be a poor experience - it is just meh.

This is the best location in town. You are a few blocks from Old Town Winchester which is a pedestrian boulevard with a bunch of shops, bars, and restaurants. The hotel itself is very historic looking. The bathroom was huge. The rooms were clean, and the AC worked great. The staff was very friendly. We didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked awesome. My only beef is the bed frame. I must have hit my foot or leg half a dozen times on it as the legs kind of stick out. After a few bruises I got used to it. Ha! I would definitely stay again. You can easily walk anywhere downtown from there including all the museums. There's no hotel like it in the area.
