A landmark in itself, this beautiful building dating back to 1922 is home to the Hamilton Hotel. Stepping foot into the grand lobby, you’ll instantly feel like royalty. But there’s also some cool modern quirks here too — from a Starbucks, a cocktail bar, and even Google Chromecast on your room’s ultra HDTV to stream your own shows and films. And when you’re ready to head out and explore this spectacular city, there’s a load of things to do and places to eat right on your doorstep.

A great location and a beautiful hotel.
Generous sized rooms, super comfy beds, restaurant onsite and the staff are very helpful.
We arrived at 9am after 24 hours of travelling and were so lucky our room was ready so we could freshen up before getting out and about. So appreciative!

From poor and highly unprofessional attitude at the front desk to huge cockroaches in the restaurant, to dirty looking carpets in the sleeping room, to dirty and broken window treatment, to room furniture that appeared damaged by water at some point, this hotel is an absolute disaster! It needs to be shut down!

I arrived at the Hamilton Hotel in Washington DC on April 2, 2025 late in the afternoon. Staff was welcoming and I asked for a room on a higher floor. I was given a room on the 10th floor.

I arrived at the Hamilton Hotel in Washington DC on April 2, 2025 late in the afternoon. Staff was welcoming and I asked for a room on a higher floor. I was given a room on the 10th floor.
The room had a small side view of 14th Street (room 1017). The room was smaller in size than what I am used to, had a smaller bathroom as well, a king size bed and a flat screen TV. The decor was contemporary, with traditional touches and had recently been decorated. It was attractive, efficient, clean and comfortable.
Room service was perfect with the room made up quickly during the day. I gave daily tips and another one the last day.
The hotel had a traditional lobby that was very nice and the hotel itself was centrally located: easy walking distance to the White House or to the Capital One Arena. After visiting Washington during the day and walking to see all the sites, it was nice to come back to a good hotel and a comfortable room.
The entire vacation experience was really nice and I enjoyed being there for the Washington Capital’s game and Ovi tying the all-time NHL scoring record.
The weather in Washington was overcast to partly sunny and warm at the beginning of April. Cherry blossoms had peeked a few days before.
