Its stately setting on Capitol Hill is just the start of the ‘grandeur’ you can expect at Phoenix Park Hotel. A historic property that’s been treated to an $8 million makeover, this has all the sharp styling you’d expect from a hotel right at the heart of this modern metropolis, just a block from Union Station and a stroll from the top sights and shopping. The splendour starts the minute you step inside, with its elegant lobby dressed in mossy greens, uplifting blues, and the sparkle of its shimmering floor, chandeliers, and gold-daubed sweeping staircase. The dining here is more rousing than refined though – with its snug Irish pub, The Dubliner, outfitted with bottle-green walls and emerald leather bar stools, and bringing you all the classics, including fish and chips, Irish Beef Stew, Guinness, and even the odd Irish ‘jig’.

This was my first time to stay here, but the Phoenix Park Hotel is in a great location and offers tremendous service to guests. Proximity to Union Station made getting around DC a breeze. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stay near the Capitol.
Washington DC was wonderful the hotel is right down the block from the capital good location

The girls at the desk were very nice the gentleman who carried all luggage and help us with luggage was also very nice very helpful. The parking is a little expensive but Down The Block was a garage that we parked in and it was more than half the price and the woman at the front desk did suggest that.

Wife and I spent three days here over Memorial Day weekend to visit son in military. Location was excellent, as it was just couple blocks from Capital and Union Station. All staff were friendly and engaging. There was an outstanding coffee station with numerous selections available. Rooms were good size, very clean, updated, and reasonably priced for DC area. As part of the hotel is the Dublander restaurant, an Irish pub, that was very family oriented , and a free drink per occupant was included in hotel reservation . The food was the best that we ever had at a pub , and we have been to quite a few . Again for DC area was reasonably priced. The corned beef was exquisitely tender with an excellent buerre blanc sauce , and the Irish cheesecake was not to be missed. Our stay exceeded expectations.

The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is in a very convenient location and doesn't break the bank. The 24 coffee machines in the upper lobby is a great perk! While they don't provide breakfast, the Dubliner is located just off the lobby and offers a great breakfast (and lunch/dinner) menu. This is…
