Housed in a converted early 1900's church, this is definitely a cool and quirky option when it comes to Washington hotels. The Adam Morgans neighbourhood is known for being a 24-hour 'hood' if you like - but as it's developed over the years the restaurants, bars and shops have become seriously cool, so it's perfect for weekend breaks for couples and friends alike. Your rooms is made to feel like a home from home. with bespoke furniture and unique artwork that keeps each room different, and will give you that warm-fuzzy feeling (don't worry - there is aircon for those summer trips!). No Goodbyes is the all day hangout thats on hand to cure those cravings, from coffee to cocktails, and brunch to late night bites. There's even a record player and a huge vinyl collection on hand for you to pick your own soundtrack.

“Credit card was charged for things we didn’t authorize.”
Oct 30, 2025Linda C
Beware of fraudulent charges to your room! We had someone else charge their bar tab to our room. We pointed this out on our bill when checking out so they removed it, then they charged our card again. We disputed it and they turned in a receipt with a scribbled signature. There was a wedding at the hotel that day so the lobby/food area was closed and we were not at the hotel when the charge was made. We attempted to email them, call them and several people said they’d look into it and we got no response. It was obvious someone charged it to our room, and we stayed next door to the wedding party group. The hotel has done nothing to remedy this and we are stuck paying someone’s bar bill because of a scribbled signature. We even asked hotel to pull our signatures to see how they don’t match, with no response. Awful customer service and be sure to plan on having someone else’s dinner or drinks charged to your room because the hotel does nothing about it. Very disappointing on lack of service and accountability. This could have been easily remedied and we gave them many opportunities to fix it. I worked through our credit card company on a fraud claim to resolve it. No thanks to anyone at The Line.
“Terrible front desk and customer service experience”
Oct 30, 2025Hetty M
I had a very disappointing one night stay. I had stayed here a few years ago and had a wonderful experience, and have since recommended it to many friends.
Which is why I was so shocked by my latest experience. At the 3pm checkout time, was told that their system was updating and so check in wasn’t possible. The front desk person was rude and abrasive and proceeded to look past me when I wanted to ask more about this.
The crowd at check in started to build. When another guest went to ask about expected check in time, they were told 3.30. I went to ask at 3.30 and was then told 4.30pm. Like a few of the other guests I was only in town for one night and had to get ready for an event. I went up to speak to another front desk person who was again rude, abrasive and dismissive and actually said “I don’t mean to be condescending…..”. He was condescending and when I said I needed a room to get ready for an event, he offered to cancel my booking instead. Check in time is 3pm and the staff were acting like we were asking for a huge favor to be checked into our rooms that we had booked and paid for.
He offered for the front office manager to speak to us and when she came out, she miraculously said they were now ready to check us in.
Later, after I had checked in, the same front desk person banged on my door to check That the room was occupied because they had to “rush” us into our rooms. I got into my room at 4pm and check in time is 3pm. That is not rushing. That is late check in.
We were not offered any compensation or kindness during this whole process. At check out, the front desk person didn’t thank me staying and just took my room key. So rude.
Honestly though the rooms were ok, I couldn’t wait to leave. They made my stay so uncomfortable
“Perfect place to stay in DC”
Oct 29, 2025Oriana Q
Every part of the experience was just great! They are super dog friendly, they even had treats and water for our puppy at the restaurant. The rooms were kept nice and clean every day without having to request housekeeping which is rare nowadays. And the overall hotel vibe was amazing! Great location too, walking distance from a lot of businesses and stores. Would definitely go back.
