The hotel

Housed in a converted early 1900's church, this is definitely a cool and quirky option when it comes to Washington hotels. The Adam Morgans neighbourhood is known for being a 24-hour 'hood' if you like - but as it's developed over the years the restaurants, bars and shops have become seriously cool, so it's perfect for weekend breaks for couples and friends alike. Your rooms is made to feel like a home from home. with bespoke furniture and unique artwork that keeps each room different, and will give you that warm-fuzzy feeling (don't worry - there is aircon for those summer trips!). No Goodbyes is the all day hangout thats on hand to cure those cravings, from coffee to cocktails, and brunch to late night bites. There's even a record player and a huge vinyl collection on hand for you to pick your own soundtrack.

We stayed at The Line DC over Labor Day weekend for the 4th time this year. The hotel is fantastic in every way, starting with the staff. Every person we encounter, from the valet at the front door when we arrive, through the front desk attendants, to everyone working within the facility is friendly and helpful. The rooms are larger than the typical DC chain, with good amenities and reasonably comfortable furnishings. While the “vibe” in the rooms is a little less modern than some (eg lots of wood rather than stone and steel), it comes together well. The common spaces are tremendous, with a great coffee shop, lively bar and plenty of places to hang out, including the front porch of the original church that was converted to be the anchor of the hotel. It’s a great place to sip a morning cup and watch the vibrant Adam’s Morgan neighborhood come to life. Perhaps the only trade-off is the lack of close proximity to a metro stop. We will stay here every time we come to DC! Read less

We loved the hotel. Everyone was super nice and inviting. The room was large and fabulous. Loved the bar and cafe. Would have preferred free coffee available. Great location. Loved Wednesday night on the roof too.

We had an excellent stay at The Line DC and highly recommend it for a relaxing, easy and authentic DC experience. The rooms are clean and appointed wirh a fun mix of modern and traditional furnishings and the staff made us feel welcome, pampered and at home. The Main floor lounge/restaurant ‘No Goodbyes’ is lovely, delicious and is in the heart of the church that was renovated to make the hotel. We loved the location, walking distance to Rock Creek Park, great restaurants and Metro. Dogs are welcome and fit right in wirh DC Line Hotel’s chill vibe. We will be back 💗 Read less
