“Fantastic Lodge! Great location!”

I really enjoyed my cabin. The bed was comfortable and I loved the pillows! I had a view of the ocean from the windows. Kitchen was fantastic! All stocked with needed items. Everything was really nice.
“Enjoyed our stay but there were a few issues that cost it a 5-star rating”

Location is the number one reason we chose this, but there were other benefits. The restaurant was amazing. We had two dinners and breakfast and it was a hit every time. Strongly recommend the polenta with mushroom ragout. Although service was pretty slow for breakfast. We had a room with two queens in the main lodge. The room was spacious. I knew going in it wouldn’t be the most updated room, so overall we were pleased. Majority of staff was very helpful and pleasant. There were, however, a few cons that prevented me from rating it a 5. Our room was above the restaurant, and we could hear music and equipment noise until 10-11p. We could also smell bacon during breakfast. Not just a faint whiff, but very strong. Ultimately didn’t bother us, because we weren’t in the room often, but may be off-putting to some. Some of the sheets had stains. They had been washed, but someone didn’t look at them closely enough. The A/C unit in the room was broken. They sent a maintenance worker, but he couldn’t fix it. They did find us a fan, which was great, but the person at the front desk at first wasn’t sure they would be able to find a fan and said something along the lines of “last week housekeeping actually managed to find one.” I understand things breaking down, but the whole interaction made it seem like they weren’t prepared to handle something like this. I can’t imagine if this had been summertime and they weren’t able to find a fan for us. If you’re in a historic lodge, you should have a few backup fans and know where they are just in case. This is a management issue, not a staff issue.
“Rustic lodge that is the perfect summer getaway on an isolated part of the Washington coast.”

The Kalaloch Lodge is the perfect mix of being away and still having everything you need. We've stayed in both the cabins and the lodge and you can't miss with either. The one upside of the lodge is that there's wifi in the rooms if you need it.
Hang out on the beach all day, go for a walk, visit the Hoh (early) and then head to the Creekside Restaurant and let them take care of dinner. There's a little convenience store too where you can buy what you forgot. Can't wait to go back!
