“Over priced because they can.”

We stayed in the main lodge. Our room was on the 2nd floor with steep steps. No tv and no microwave. Old and musty. Use extreme caution when entering the shower.
“Moldy Room”
Jun 07, 2026Colleen L
Our room at the Kalaloch Lodge had mold all over the bathroom ceiling and part of the wall near the window. The whole room smelled of mold, but the odor in the bathroom was so strong that we had to keep the door closed with the window open and the fan running. Shortly before checking out, we informed the hotel about the situation. They did apologize, but also said that historic buildings can sometimes be fragrant, . This was more than fragrant- it was a health hazard. My husband & I both had headaches the morning we checked out. And we have stayed in many historic national parks hotels over the years, and none of them had mold anywhere.
“I LOVE Kalaloch Lodge but prices are way too high”

Absolutely LOVE Kalaloch Lodge, the Creek Side Restaurant and the mercantile. We have been coming to Kalaloch for 12 years. Unfortunately we will be day trippers this summer. I just canceled my 3 night reservation because I can not justify paying 699.00 per night plus tax. I am sad but I get their reality with the loss of several cabins recently due to erosion of the cliffside. I just can't swallow 699/night. Way too expensive. Ill be staying an hour away in Beaver and driving over. Sad.
