“Great location, noisy neighbors”
Jul 02, 2026631SarahS
My daughter and I stayed at Kalaloch Lodge on our trip around the Olympic Peninsula. Pros: great location, great view, private beach access, restaurant and market on site, spacious & comfortable room
Cons: we thought we would be in the main lodge but were in a different building with 10 rooms by the cabins. We could hear every single footstep of the people in the room above us, every time they flushed the toilet, and most of their conversation
“What more do you want? comfy beds, great food and views that take your breath away”

What a special place and setting. There has been a lodge here for over a century and many changes since then. The lobby and dining room are special places and the beds comfortable. Although erosion has literally caused the razing of several of the cabins, the renovations are perfect.
“VERY LOUD OLD DIRTY ROOMS! NOT WORTH THE STAY!”
Jun 21, 2026Mike D
My stay was absolutely miserable due to the excessive noise coming from the room above me. Room 404 should never have been placed beneath a group of four large adults. The constant stomping, walking, and noise sounded as if they were coming through the ceiling. It was so loud that I was unable to relax in my room or get any meaningful sleep throughout the night.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that I brought the issue to the attention of the front desk early on and requested to be moved to another room. My request was denied, and I was told the hotel was 100% full. However, the next morning I observed several vacant rooms in the building, making that explanation difficult to believe.
The complete lack of concern for my comfort and well-being was extremely disappointing. Instead of making any effort to accommodate a reasonable request, I was left to endure a sleepless and frustrating stay.
Because of this experience and the way it was handled, I will never return to this property and cannot recommend it to anyone else.
