The Mexican Peso is the currency of Cancun, but the US Dollar is also widely accepted.
The cheapest way to get around Cancun is by bus. Buses run frequently throughout the day and cover both tourist areas and regions where locals live. Taxis are also available widely across Cancun, but be aware that prices may vary if taking a taxi from the street rather than booking at your hotel.
The electricity supply is 110 volts in Cancun. The main plug socket types are North American grounded and non-grounded plugs. Standard British plugs will need an adapter.
