Technical issue at London Heathrow - 20-21 September 2025

We’re aware of a technical issue currently affecting check-in systems at a number of airports, including London Heathrow. 

All Virgin Atlantic flights are scheduled to operate as planned, although some flights may experience delays. 

Customers should also be prepared for longer than usual wait times at check-in and bag drop.

If you’re travelling from Heathrow, please:

  •  Check in online, if you’re able to, via virginatlantic.com or the Virgin Atlantic app.
  •  Arrive at the airport exactly three hours before your flight departs.

(Please note that arriving more than three hours before departure may contribute to congestion in the terminal, and arriving less than three hours could result in delays at check-in or bag drop).
