Tiers are based on actual flown miles. 

Flights on Air New Zealand where there are multiple sectors, but 1 flight number will be considered as 1 flight and earn tier points based on this.

Missing miles

When claiming miles please keep all copies of your original tickets/e-tickets and boarding passes until the correct amount of miles appear on your account. If the miles do not show on your account within six weeks, please contact us to claim them back.

The table below shows round-trip mileage, not including applicable taxes and surcharges. One-way trips are permitted at half of the round-trip mileage shown below. If a journey requires a connecting flight or stopover to reach the destination, miles are charged for each sector.

How to book

Please contact the Virgin Atlantic Flying Club team to check mileage for a specific route, availability and to make a booking. 

Bookings must be made at least 48hrs before departure. Miles must be redeemed from one account.
