The above information is for direct bookings and Virgin Atlantic flights only.

Tickets cannot be transferred to other people

You will not be able to transfer your ticket to another person by completely changing the name, as tickets can't be transferred. You'll need to buy a new ticket.

If you've legally or officially changed your name

We can amend your ticket free of charge. We just need to see the supporting documentation, such as your marriage certificate, to prove you are the same person.

If you’re on your honeymoon or you get married while you’re away, it’s ok to travel under your maiden name.

The key thing is that the name on your booking and ticket matches the name on your passport.

If you've spotted a spelling mistake

If there’s a small spelling mistake in your name on the ticket, we can also amend this for free.

Contact us

To make any change to your name you will need to contact us. If you are not the lead passenger, you’ll need them to do this. If you didn’t book with us

You’ll need to contact the company you booked with, as they may have a different rebooking policy.

Virgin Atlantic is governed by the rules of other airlines so if a name change is linked to another airline, we can’t guarantee they will accept free of charge changes.
