Ready to fly?
Get your trip off to a flying start with Virgin Atlantic at Dubai International Airport. From check in details to airport facilities for departures and onward travel information for arrivals, don't stress - we've got it covered.
All Virgin Atlantic flights depart from and arrive at Terminal 1.
When does my flight depart/arrive?
Unsure of your timings? It's best to be safe than sorry. Check your departure and arrival time with our handy Flight status tool.
What time should I arrive at the airport?
Leave those last-minute airport dashes to the big screen! We recommend that you arrive at least two hours before your flight is due to leave.
Do I need a visa?
Check out our Visa information pages for every country that we fly to.
Online check in
The best way to check in is online where you can pick your seat and print your boarding card. If you’re travelling with carry on baggage only, you can print off your own boarding pass and we’ll see you at the gate.
Counter check in and bag drop
You’ll find our desks, 103 - 110, in Row 9 of Terminal 1. Check in starts from four hours before departure and closes one hour before departure.
Speed up your arrival by using the Smart Gates
Customers arriving into Dubai airport are offered free access to the Smart Gate programme.
If you’re a UAE resident then you can use your Emirates ID at the Smart Gates.
Non UAE residents
The Smart Gates can be used by passport holders from the following countries:
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Brunei Darussalaam, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA.
