Fantastic staff. We can vouch for this as they went out of their way to send a backpack that was left and forgotten in storage to our friends in Vancouver. Thank you ever so much to Bujjy from "housekeeping/lost and found". When our Über was a no-show, Imran from reception kindly offered to call a taxi for us, which was only slightly more… Read more

Thank you ever so much to Bujjy from "housekeeping/lost and found". When our Über was a no-show, Imran from reception kindly offered to call a taxi for us, which was only slightly more expensive than an Über but provided much more comfort. The hotel is well-situated in old Toronto for you to discover the city on foot and/or by public transport. No complaints about the room or bathroom. Just 2 little remarks about breakfast: the breakfast area is a "tight squeeze" during "peak hours" and we would have preferred to have non-disposable cutlery rather than single-use cutlery but let's not make a big deal out of this since the location of the hotel and its staff amply made up for this. We really enjoyed our stay here. Read less

Many positives like the bed/room comfort, view from our room, toiletries and location, but also I have to mention that any staff interaction we had was very poor. Aside from Ravish everyone else we spoke to really couldn't have cared less about us as guests. Air conditioning unit in the room is incredibly noisy and clearly a very dated unit.… Read more

Aside from Ravish everyone else we spoke to really couldn't have cared less about us as guests. Air conditioning unit in the room is incredibly noisy and clearly a very dated unit. Coffee machine in room with tea, coffee & sugar but no milk provided. We asked for milk at the front desk and were rudely told no and that we would have to wait until the morning if we wanted milk. Poor service. WiFi is also intermittent and the plug sockets/usb ports need attention as they are so loose and did not support charging. We use holiday inn frequently on holiday but sadly would not stay here again. Read less

This hotel is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a convenient base to explore Toronto. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The location is ideal and close to key attractions, transit, and dining options. The breakfast is exactly what you’d expect from a Holiday Inn Express: simple and functional. It’s served on paper plates with compostable cutlery, practical, but not luxurious. If you’re after a more upscale breakfast experience, you’ll need to go outside the hotel. There’s tea and coffee in the room, and complimentary tea and coffee are also available in the lobby 24/7, which is a nice touch. Overall, considering the price, the room size, and the location, this hotel offers great value for money. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Toronto. Read less

Breakfast is minimal but adequate. No other meals are served on site but there are restaurants nearby including an excellent Italian just across the road. There is a large supermarket six minutes walk away just across the road from the St. Lawrence Market - which came in handy. Limited snacks and drinks can also be purchased from hotel reception and can be delivered to your room by a robot called Marley! Overall, a good hotel. Read less

Hotel was in a decent location and the rooms were clean and tidy. Good shower with clean towels. Friendly staff. Only let down was the chaotic breakfast. We ended up going out for breakfast everyday as there was nowhere to sit to eat, even at the earlier breakfast times there were so many people it was difficult to get around to find items, not much choice unless you want mainly sweet cakes etc and there were the most awful plastic cutlery and cardboard plates. People just sat around at the tables and leaving it untidy and dirty Just a horrible setting and experience. We went to the sunset grill every day instead, brilliant choice of food. Read less
