My sister, sisters-in-laws and I have stated with you in the past. We have throughly enjoyed your safe, clean premises and appreciated the convenience of the bar area, Starbucks, breakfast/dining room, on-site parking and luggage check. So, when my sister-in-law and I decided to stay over after a show at the Princess of Wales Theatre, we automatically booked at the Hyatt Regency.
After the show on Thursday, December 11, we sat in your bar area for about two hours before heading up to our room. By the time we went to bed, it was almost 2:00a.m. We did not have to rush in the morning and planned to sleep late. Unfortunately, sometime after 7:00 a.m., a banging noise (similar to a hammer striking) began, which woke us. The noise did not subside, and so we got up. This sound continued until we left our room at approximately 10:30. We were not able to determine the source of the banging, but it appeared to be coming from inside the hotel, as the sound was definitely louder in the hallway than the room.
This situation is most unfortunate, as we left our “mini getaway” feeling tired instead of rested. It was a blemish on our otherwise lovely experience at the Toronto Hyatt Regency.
