In the heart of downtown Toronto, right across from City Hall and the Eaton Centre, this hotel is in a great location for restaurants and things to do while not at your conference. Valet parking is offered by the hotel for a pricey $60 Canadian...it's entirely possible to find much less expensive overnight parking nearby, but then you'd have to schlep your luggage to the hotel and back, and deal with the confusion of finding the parking when you're new to town. We just did the valet - it worked fine, but remember to get everything you think you might need from the car so you don't have to get them to bring the car back until you're ready to drive it. A note about the elevators - this high rise hotel has two sets to get to the guest rooms (one for higher floors and one for lower floors) - make sure you select the right elevators! Another note - when we visited, the weather was unusually hot (over 90 degrees F each day), and the room air conditioner couldn't keep up, even when set at its lowest temperature setting. Read less

August 2025: Wonderful hotel. In a great location (directly across from City Hall/TORONTO sign), a block from the Osgood subway station, tons of restaurants around, about 5 or 6 blocks from Union Station. Staff friendly. Room clean.

The hotel's location is great and is in a very walkable area - there are plenty of restaurants nearby and the CF Eaton Centre is less than 10 minutes away. The food at the hotel was great and the pool area was a nice place to relax. I would definitely stay at the Sheraton Centre again. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Disappointing Stay at Sheraton Toronto Centre – Overpriced & Underwhelming

My recent stay at the Sheraton Toronto Centre fell far short of expectations, especially given the premium pricing. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Club Lounge experience, which was an additional $70+ per child but offered shockingly little value. The food was entirely mass-produced with no à la carte options—just generic scrambled eggs (definitely not fresh), basic pastries, and premade items. Compared to similar offerings at hotels like the Fairmont Gold rooms, this was embarrassingly subpar. Service was another letdown. On the first day, I mistakenly entered the lounge at what I believed was 5:00 PM, only to be scolded loudly by a server who snapped, *“No, it’s 4:58!”*—in front of a room full of guests. The lack of grace was astounding. My mother always said, *“If you’re not on time, you’re late,”* but a two-minute discrepancy hardly warranted such a harsh and humiliating response. Housekeeping also missed the mark. We found a dirty rag left on top of our shower—clear evidence of rushed or careless cleaning. Attention to detail matters, especially at this price point. For the cost, I expected far better service, quality, and options. Instead, the experience felt more like a budget express hotel than a Sheraton. In today’s competitive travel market, there are far better options that deliver superior value. Unless significant improvements are made, I won’t be returning. Read less

Hotel is in a great location and staff are great. First 3 days we were here everything was great. Ate in Restaurant first night as tired from travel and was really nice. Relaxing with great food and service. All good with room and amenities. Breakfast again was lovely, not the buffet we were expecting but the choice of food was great and service again great. We stayed for 6 nights and on third morning noticed that service was slower than previous days at breakfast and seemed busier. We were out for the day and when returned noticed that all areas of hotel seemed busy and no space around lobby and restaurant. At breakfast next day the menu had changed and was limited from what was previously on offer. Server informed this was result of a big group now in hotel. We found out later was a big conference in hotel. This totally changed how the hotel was. Breakfast was a lot busier and as mentioned different menu. All areas of hotel were busy now. So couldn’t get a coffee at the bar in lobby as nowhere to sit. So had to leave the hotel in order to have a relaxing drink. I loved Toronto so getting out of the hotel was nice but would have liked the option. So hotel was not a relaxing place. Added to that the person next door our room must have been hard of hearing as I have never heard anyone so loud on their phone. Really glad on last day was able to get late check out, otherwise would not have been able to relax before leaving as there were literally no spaces to sit down. Was never informed when checking in that there would be a conference like this. Overall first three days great stay, after that not so great and definitely not relaxing. Avoid if conference and want to relax. Read less
