We had a great stay at the hotel, definitely recommend the sea view rooms at the top of the resort. The nearby Pigeon Point Beach is a must visit and only a short walk away. We received outstanding service from Jason, Alfonzo and Kerry-ann. We will back.

I had a great 7-night stay in this hotel and have returned home feeling happy. The hotel boasts amazing views of the English Harbour and a selection of restaurants a stone's throw away. The hotel does not offer food, so you will find something to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A number of the restaurants were closed due to the off-season period, but this did not matter as there were still plenty to choose from. My favourite breakfast/ lunch food is clean food & jooce, such as juice and Bar B’s. For dinner, I enjoyed Pillars at Admiral’s Inn ( adjacent to Nelson’s Dockyard) and Los Cabrones on the corner of Dockyard Drive. The room was clean, the AC worked efficiently, and the bed was comfortable. My only battle was the mosquitoes in the room. The staff kindly sprayed my room, but they still would not leave me alone. I also bought mosquito body spray from the UK, but I recommend purchasing body spray in Antigua, if you are prone to bites, as you might have a better chance of it working more efficiently. The closest beaches were Pigeon Point and Galleon Beach. The latter is my favourite as it is so tranquil and secluded, but both are lovely for different reasons. Pigeon Point is relatively walkable in 10 minutes, but Galleon is 8 minutes by car or taxi. I chose to hire a car, so both were easy to access, along with other places of interest nearby, such as Shirley Heights and Nelson’s Dockyard. A stroll around Saint John’s is recommended for the markets, shops and restaurants. It is around a 50-minute to 1-hour drive each way from English Harbour. I enjoyed the cultural experience of St. John's. The locals were friendly and more than helpful in offering directions without hesitation. Shirley Heights is a good evening out for only $10 admission with additional costs for food and drink. I visited on Thursday, but it’s also open on Sunday. I enjoyed the spectacular views and the reggae band! As other guests have mentioned, you can hear music from the nearby bars and restaurants, but it didn’t bother me, as I found it entertaining. If you prefer a quiet night, you might want to reconsider. Overall, the hotel has a minimalist aesthetic reminiscent of other hotels across the Caribbean and is the perfect retreat to experience Antigua at its best. Read less

Hotel nice otherwise but needs updating but not sure if they are going for rustic look. Open courtyard in the middle of rooms, nice look. Plenty of bars and restuarants around. I would give it 3 stars but downgrade to 2.5 stars due to mould. Read less
