    The informal Sunbay Hotel is on the South Coast of Barbados, in a quiet and convenient location. With its simple and clean accommodation, this is value at its best and ideal for those seeking an affordable, relaxing base to return to at the end of the day. Chill by the swimming pool— there are two (one that’s adults only). Or if you are looking to captivate the coastal scenery, you are just a short walk from the shores, with Maxwell and Dover beaches a stone’s throw away. Breakfast is included and served at Palm View Restaurant, and with a choice of restaurant’s and lively entertainment in the nearby hotspot of St Lawrence Gap, you'll be out dancing until the early hours!

    Where is it

    On the scenic South coast of Barbados, across the road from a small beach and 3 minutes walk to a larger beach. 10 minutes drive from St Lawrence Gap, world-famous for its bustling atmosphere and nightlife. Oistins is also a short walk away. 20 minutes to Bridgetown. Transfer time from airport: 15 minutes.

    104 rooms that are comfortable, and great as a base, located across 4 floors with 2 elevators. All with private balcony or patio, air-conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi access, mini fridge, microwave, kettle and safe.

    Standard Rooms have either 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 people, or 2 double beds sleeping maximum 4 people.

    Superior Rooms with 1 king-size bed, or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

    Deluxe Rooms with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 people.

    A nice surprise was the on-site restaurant. During my visit, I placed two dinner orders, and both were tasty. The dining experience was comfortable because of the staff's friendliness without being overly formal. After a long day of sightseeing, it was convenient to be able to eat at the hotel.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The pool area was quiet and a nice spot to unwind in the afternoons. I also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere—great for travelers who want to relax without the noise of big resorts. Not a luxury hotel, but definitely good value for the price.     Overall had a blast the staff are the best. The rooms are basic but you get what you pay for. I would come again as the staff made my stay even greater. Big up the kitchen staff the reception staff and not leaving out the manager. She was lovely and welcoming and as I already said I would come back again.
