We stayed at Mount Cinnamon for a few nights and really loved the vibe. The views were absolutely stunning, waking up to that scenery every morning felt surreal. The resort is set on a hill, so expect a little walking, but it’s 100% worth it for those views. Kanilah, one of the manager, was fantastic. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about how we were doing. It’s rare to see a manager so hands-on, and she made us feel like family. And Shakim at the bar?Awesome. His drinks were on point and he had us laughing every night. Most of the staff we met were super friendly and helpful from the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was lovely. Only small letdown was dinner. It wasn’t terrible, just didn’t quite match the level of everything else. Breakfast and lunch were better. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend Mount Cinnamon. It’s laid back, the beach is perfect, and the people make it special. Hope to come back! Read less

We just returned from a one week stay 6/7-14/25. What a wonderful vacation! The resort and staff were beyond superb. We had the cinnamon suite, which was plenty big enough for my husband and I. The view was awesome from our room. Looking straight out to the water. Our friends had the hacienda room, which was really cool too with the retro looking fridge and two bathrooms. They loved their room too. We were treated with such respect from the moment we arrived. Our taxi driver provided by the resort was great. Thank you, Chris. We used him throughout the week to go to restaurants and a whole day tour. We were greeted with a very tasty rum punch. The sprinkle of nutmeg on the top with a nice highlight. I found new ways of using nutmeg I never thought of. The pina colada with nutmeg was awesome! The breakfast each morning was really nice. A small buffet with homemade baked goods (the pineapple tart I loved). Then the French toast with nutmeg syrup was my favorite each morning from the menu. The other guests in our party loved the English breakfast variety. What is really nice is that they provide their own shuttle to get us up and down the hill AND also brought us to the local restaurant Umbrellas at night and gave us transportation to and from the IGA grocery store and shopping mall. That was such a big help since we’re all seniors, We checked out the Concord waterfall, Tri Island chocolate factory and the rum distillery. All were great. We bought so much local stuff. On Wednesday night, we went to Dodgy Dock for the local vendor cooking. That was awesome. The band was killer and the young people from the Comfort Mercy Ship were there that night. It was so nice to see them having fun and knowing they were there to help the island folk in need. On Friday night, the resort had a bbq on the beach with a bonfire. We got to toast marshmallows and make s’mores. How cool! All in all it was our first trip to Grenada recommended by a doctor friend and such a blessing. The people are all so kind and helpful everywhere we went. I am ready to turn around and go back…. Read less

We had a fabulous stay at Mount Cinnamon Resort. The staff are so lovely, helpful and friendly. This was our first time in Grenada, and I would definitely go back. I have a habit of not liking hotels when I first arrive and, on several occasions, have moved to a different hotel. It was initially the same this time, but I quickly changed my mind!. The pool was a lot smaller than I expected and is literally next to the reception area. There isn't really a lounge area, so seating for the evening is the dining tables or a couple of tables and chairs next to the bar, or there are bar stools. The villa we had was very spacious, clean, and comfortable but a little tired, and the bathrooms need updating. BUT...I very quickly settled and ended up loving the place. Yes, service is a little slow, but once you realise that this is mainly due to the laid back vibe of the lovely people and the island, you can choose whether you want it to be a problem or not. Breakfast choice is great and plenty of ala carte options. A beautiful little walk through the mature gardens to Grand Anse beach, which is perfect. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and the beach restaurant has plenty of choice of freshly cooked food with good service. With regards to the lounge area, I think it would be a good idea to take away some of the dining tables and chairs and replace them with a few clusters of lounge chairs/sofas. What's lovely about Mount Cinnamon is how it is built into the hillside and looks authentic as it blends in with the local houses as you view it from the beach or out on the water. We hired a car for a couple of days and went all over the island, driving through the villages and getting a feel for island life. We felt safe and welcome throughout. If you like horseriding, we rode on the beach with Royan, who owns Bonanza stables. The horses were so well cared for and loved. We even visited the farm where they were stabled on a different day and were proudly shown around. There's so much to do in Grenada and plenty of good restaurants and beach bars. A point to make is that food is really expensive in and outside of the hotel. Read less
