Quick check in and taken to our room-great start after a long time travelling. After a good night’s sleep, we went for breakfast, this was lovely and the waiting staff were so lovely and friendly. Fast forward a few days and we started to notice some cracks….. No housekeeping for 3 of the days……had to ask reception to send someone-more to change the towels than anything else. It was only when the evening housekeeper came that we realised that actually we should have had a duvet. I also noticed that despite the sanitary bags being used-they were not replaced. The main swimming pool was great however, pool towels were not easy to get….a few times we went to change the towels-they took them then told us they could not replace them. Also sun beds…..signs around the pool saying not to reserve seats were ignored, unfortunately against personal morals we did get up and reserved seats before going for breakfast. I don’t have an issue with that practice-my problem is with people reserving seats and then going to the beach for much of the day. My other problem is that the pool bar was full of people sitting there making the most of an all inclusive resort-not usually a problem, however it became a problem when people were continued to be served alcohol and then they went and vomitted in the pool-ruining the rest of the day for everyone else. The al a cart restaurants were nothing to get excited about-they were ok however some of the food was overcooked. Service in these restaurants was great. Fast forward to checkout day-our wristbands were removed and we were given a piece of card. The great service we had become used to was no more….we had to ask for cutlery and coffee rather than being offered drinks. Overall, though a beautiful place, the service was not to the standard I would expect for this rating of a hotel. I won’t be rushing to say at another Grand Palladium again Read less

We stayed at the Palladium for a family holiday. Pool was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice with a lovely sea view and we had a really relaxing stay. Food was quite good generally and good choice of specialty restaurants. Areas for improvement would include the following 1. Lack of Housekeeping - Housekeeper didn't come on three separate days. On one day I asked reception and client services on 3 occasions but still no response. No clean towels or bedding provided. I did discuss with client relations however this didn't resolve the issues and I felt fobbed off by them. 2. Room wasn't ready when we go there - whilst we could go to the room there were missing sheets and duvets in the room which was only noticed 2-3 days later. 3. Italian Restaurant - Food was awful and would suggest people avoid. We love Italian food normally but left lots of this food. 4. Towels and Sunbeds - Lack of sunbeds unless received before 8am and hotel frequently ran out of towels for beside the pool. We couldn't use the pool one morning due to a lack of sunbeds when a trip was unexpectedly cancelled. 5. Phones in the room didn't work so had to walk to reception if had any issues. This is a simple fix. 6. Location - this is hard to improve but to note it is 1 hour from Montego Bay and most sites so if planning trips factor this in as 2 hours round trip in addition. Read less

My only issue is that the golf cart drivers do not stop to ask if you need a lift. Perhaps designated pick up points may help with this. Overall a lovely stay! Read less

We spent 12 nights at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in August 2025, here is what I feel is a fair and honest review of our experience as a family of four with two young daughters (4 & 8). We did have a fantastic time during our stay which I will come on to later, however it was not all smooth sailing with the main points of issue being at either end of the stay. We checked in around 21:30 (Jamaica time) having left Heathrow at 15:45 (UK time) , we had been up since around 5am due to our youngest not sleeping and having a ton of things to sort before we left - almost 24 hours. Check in was friendly, although we were not offered a welcome drink which I saw almost everyone else receive later in the week at check in. Check I'm was friendly and efficient which was partly due to me checking in online prior to arrival. We were given the details and asked to sign the lengthy Ts & Cs which were presented in Spanish, which meant we couldn't read them even if we wanted to (they claimed they weren't able to change this). We were given our bands and then waited for our buggy to take us to our room with our four heavy suitcases. Unfortunately with our two young children being shattered, waiting 15 minutes before a buggy arrived wasn't ideal. When we arrived at the room none of the four key card wristbands worked, and the baggage porter has to let us in with his card. They had made the sofa bed up with sheets and left fresh fruit, however they had not given us any additional pillows (only two between four people, same with towels) I went to call reception on the phone but this didn't work. I ended up walking to reception (5-10 mins) to ask for pillows/towels etc and have my wristband enabled. I was told they would be sent right away, got back to the room -wristband now worked. Waited 45 minutes, no pillows/towels so walked back to reception and they couldn't understand why these hadn't been sent. So I said I would prefer to wait and be given them, I waited for another hour at reception before the night manager came on duty and promised to bring them personally, I went back to the room and he arrived with them in 15 minutes but having to wait 2 hours for some pillows and towels that should have been in the room in the first place was not ideal especially given how shattered I was. I went to bed and was woken up 20 mins later by a knock at the door... a guy had turned up with 2 pillows. Next day we got all our wristbands working and they fixed the phone, they compensated us with resort credit of $100 which we were told could not be used at the spa (more on that later) We had a stunning breakfast at Blue Lagoon and coffee Miss Lou's before since we were up early due to the jet lag. I have to say that my overall experience of the food at the resort was graded B+, its not Michelin star but I think you have to be very fussy if you can't find something you like. We ate at all the a la carte restaurants and our favourite was the hibachi in the Asian restaurant - kids loved the show and our chef was full of energy. Fish restaurant has incredible views of the sunset (see pics) however it was very humid when we went and made eating a bit uncomfortable. Mobay is the better buffet but we still enjoyed Negril a couple of times, make sure to try the jerk huts also. Sports bar is what it is, food is essentially pizza, burgers, wings etc but served 23 hours a day so you never go hungry. My wife had a tummy bug for about a week on and off, not sure if this was something she ate, virus or not coping well with the heat but we did hear of a family that were out of action for 8 days. There were plenty of people that were fine including me and our two daughters, so this must be a really unlucky situation if you get it (TBF my wife does have form for this on some previous holidays, so may be more susceptible than most) The staff on the whole are amazing, they work so hard in the heat especially the gardeners and bar staff by the pool we only had a couple of occasions where servers were a little unfriendly and we were made to feel like a bit of an inconvenience to them. But everyone greets you with a cheery good morning both staff and guests. We used the kids club a fair bit and the staff were great and friendly, my daughters enjoyed their time there and my 4 year old was comfortable enough to go on her own without her big sister a couple of times which gave us confidence. The only thing I would say is although they do evening entertainment, it is a different format to the mini discos in Europe which our two daughters love but a change from tradition is also good to try something alternative. The main pool is loud and unfortunately I noticed the shallower front section, a lot of sun cream/oil/debris collects in the corners. I wouldn't swim in it tbh and forbid my daughter going underwater there in case she swallowed some and got sick, the staff do clean it daily but it just gets immediately dirty again and they can't keep up. Generally the cleanliness of the hotel is very good and the staff work very hard to keep it this way. Loved the kids pool, slides were great and steps modeled on Dunn's River Falls but the floor is very rough to be grippy which meant I saw a few people come off the slides and get deep scratches to parts of their body including my eldest daughter. A couple of days in the Aircon had backed up and was leaking in the bathroom, caused the paint to flake which they fixed very quickly, some of the decor/paint/walls etc needs a bit of TLC which leaves the hotel short of being a true 5* but this is not something that tends to bother us. Drinks are good, lots of variety staff work hard and although you don't have to tip I always like to if a bar tender is putting that bit extra effort in. Mosquitos not really a problem for me but the wife was bitten a couple of times. Evening entertainment varied although we didn't watch most of it. We did do 4 trips between us including Dunn's River Falls/Blue Hole/Reggae River, Luminous Lagoon, Catamaran and Horse riding in the sea - would recommend all, everyone conducting the tours were excellent and good value for their gratuities. We had another issue at check out, when we were compensated $100 I signed the form and was told they would need to get a managers signature for approval - I never got a copy, this was a problem at check out since reception had no record of it. Had to go back to guest relations desk (opposite reception) who did for them to get it, they provided a photocopy rather than original which reception would not except so they had to get a fresh copy which I had to sign - like two different organisations dealing with one another. This made the whole checkout process take about 30 minutes which was a disappointing way to end the holiday. When we got home and looked at our copy of the letter it turns out we were complimented $150 and the wording said we could have used it in the bar, which was also disappointing in hindsight. Ultimately I think a 4 to 4.5 review is a fair reflection, some parts of the hotel need a bit of a lick of paint, a couple of staff need to put more effort in but all these were things in the minority. We had a fantastic time and felt the holiday was good value for the money when you take into account the a la carte restaurants, kids club, entertainment, staff and stunning views. I would definitely recommend and would visit again given the chance, the fact we are now all miserable to be home shows what a great time we had. Thank you to Grand Palladium and the staff for giving us such a memorable holiday! Yeh Mon! 🇯🇲 Read less
