We have just returned from 2 weeks staying on the Jamaica side in a Garden suite as a family of 4 with 2 children. Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend. Our room was great for what we needed. A very large comfy bed and a separate lounge area with a sofa bed and a wooden cot/crib. Neither of these were massive but were more than fine for a 7 and 2 year old. Air con worked great, separate bath and shower and black out blinds. No issues with housekeeping. Yes it is a large resort but we had no issues with this. My 7 year only old moaned twice in 2 weeks about the walk back to room and we never felt the need to call for a ride but if walking is an issue then you can easily get a lift. The pool is massive and very warm and the children loved the toddler pool and kids slides. My daughter enjoyed the kids club, ideal ages would be 5-10. There is a teans gaming room also. We used the hotel watersports which were great to be included but kayak is age 5 plus and paddle board 13 plus. Sunset cove beach is beautiful. The alcohol was definitely watered down and a big tipping culture to be aware of if travelling from UK. We enjoyed the wine with meals which were all table service. You will not go hungry at this hotel the buffets cater to all tastes and on the whole we enjoyed the speciality restraunts. Miss Lous coffee shop was a big hit and the hotel has a large gym. The hotel had a great celebration for Jamaican independence day while we were staying including a fireworks display. Areas to improve from a family with young kids perspecticd would be. 1- A snack cart by the pool would be a great add on, you dont necessarily want to go to the sports bar straight from pool just to get a snack for kids. 2- There were no baby changes in any of the men's toilets only womens which was frustrating for us all especially if Dad was caring for baby. 3- The app isnt accurate re kids entertainment or menus in restruants e.g. one restraunt only served chicken nuggests and chips from the children's menu and we turned up for character breakfast to find it wasn't on on 2 occasions. 4- They never had any children's desserts or even vanilla ice cream in the speciality restraunts. Wouldn't be that hard to keep a tub of vanilla on hand. 5- while the kids club was great and under 3s can go for designated slots there is no indoor play area as such for parent supervision and no indoor pool for free family use. Both would be great additions given the weather regularly resulting in the pools being closed. 6- Early morning exercise classes would be a hit, the gym was always busy at 7am but planned classes tended to start from 9am or 10am. When travelling with kids tend to be up and out by then. The above are in our minds only minor issues and in comparison to an All In holidays in Europe this is considerably better. Read less

We love this place! We visited last Sept (2024) after spending our first holiday here back in 2015. We have been to Memories Azul Negril, Royalton Negril, but none of them quite hit the mark like the grand palladium. The place has so much to offer and a lot of class. We have been to Memories Azul Negril, Royalton Negril, but none of them quite hit the mark like the grand palladium. The place has so much to offer and a lot of class. We can’t wait to return with our two young boys later this month. We’ve already booked to come back in 2026 too! We’re looking forward to seeing some friendly faces that we met last year (if they are still there). The staff are exceptional. Special shout outs to Ronica who was great with us and our boys. Donald and Stephen at the Inifinity bar making amazing drinks. Donna Kay - at sunset cove teaching us patois. Angela - was amazing with our boys and we can’t wait to see her again. And Sherice Kerr was amazing too. Thank you so much. See you again soon. Read less

We stopped in blocked 24 which is only a short walk from the main pool and restaurants. The room itself is really smart and spacious. My only complaint of the stop is that the refilling of the mini fridge was inconsistent. Four days out of ten it was not replenished. It’s always easy to get loungers and there’s a lively atmosphere around the pool swim up bar. If you’re looking for peace and quiet you would need to head to the adult pool. The food was excellent, there are three large buffet halls open for breakfast and I think these are also open at the evening. Though we booked the main restaurants. You can book these either through the hotel app or guest services it is advisable to book in advance. Big shout out to the lovely staff with their super personalities. Particularly Crystal at the towel exchange and Marva at the pool bar. We would love to come back here again! Read less
