We spent a week at this resort. I would refer to it as “A Time” not good not bad just a time. The food was also the same wasn’t great wasn’t bad it was food. The beach isn’t good isn’t bad it’s a beach. The staff was generally helpful and friendly. The coffee shop was good in an otherwise completely average vacation.

Disappointed that tis was not a true all inclusive. the original concept of all inclusive was to allow guest to not have to worry about carrying money around to pay for meals and tipping. It was advertised as top shelf liquor but that was only reserved for the Privilege guest. They should change the name Privilege to another name like gold club. The service was sub par at best and only a handful of employee's were pleasant. I truly believe that they are not happy and compensated properly for the job they do. ( but this is just my option). Housekeeping was sub par. They mopped the floor but did not make the bed we had have them come back. The bar fridge in the room was not cold and we had days that it was not even restocked. There was boards that were on the coconut trees there to brace them and they had rusty nail protruding. ( see attached Photo) this happen to be on the family side. The beach over all is terrible it was solid rock ( only a small section in front of the Privilege area was swimmable). Not enough chairs for the regular hotel guest that are not Privilege. The activity coordinators were not engaging. Never showed up for volleyball on either the family or adult side. I complained the next day someone showed up pulled 3 people that wanted to play but only wanted to take a picture I am assuming to show their boss that they were there. My daughter was in the shower and the house keep person can in the room and into the bathroom while she was in the shower.( this is totally unacceptable.) I also want to mention the hard sell to taking your time to sell you the Premium Club vacation. Why is this a thing now at very hotel you stay at.I could not wait to leave and come back home.I won't every stay or recommend this hotel to anyone. The only good thing I can say is the food was notbad. Read less

This hotel and complex has everything. The Eden Bay Hotel has a sister hotel next door, which is not adult only, but we were allowed to use their facilities, which was good . The check-in was quite slow and laboured but okay, the rooms we had, overlooked the pool and were spacious and fairly up to date and were cleaned well every day with fresh towels if you wanted them, we did have trouble with our door lock several times locking us out but they did fix this. The complex is quite large with lots of restaurants with food to suit everyone, the staff in the resort are very friendly and helpful , and nothing is too much trouble for them, sometimes a little slow but this is normal for jamaicans they take things easy. The entertainment team worked really hard to make your stay great and were very happy to engage with guests , cc , Billy, and especially Dimario were great and made our stay much more memorable. We were at the hotel during the 4th of July celebrations, and they certainly put on a show. The pool is large and cleaned every day , clean towels every day as well , the towel lady odette was very funny and spoke with us every day , unfortunately the pool bars ran out of straws almost daily which is pretty poor management for a hotel this size. There is plenty of entertainment on an evening with live music most nights we enjoyed a few drinks in the reception bar , the guys in there were really good especially junior and jason who looked after us well and were very funny, one downside is the drinks are local beverages and are low quality which is very poor for a 5 star hotel which is also not cheap, I think that's a jamaica thing as we have stayed in H10 hotels in other countries and the drinks are top quality labels. Another big disappointment is the shop on the complex or rather the prices they charge, as a tourist you do expect to get hit but the prices in that shop are ridiculous, £10 for a bag of crisps, wow, again in other H10 hotels they give these out free with all inclusive. I'm really surprised that the main currency used here is american dollars. No one seems to want to take jamaican dollars. There is the constant smell of cannabis and other drugs, but this is jamaica, and it is legal, but it gets too much at times. Despite one or two things mentioned , we loved this hotel, and jamaica itself is a fantastic place , we definitely recommend it, and we hope to be back soon. Read less
