Some staff go above and beyond, others just want to get job done as quick as possible and this is obvious. I.e telling us we have to come early for dinner and items on the menu not available. When the restaurant is opens until 10pm. No consistency in room turn down in evening., i.e, one night slippers and mat, next night mat, no slippers next night no mat or slippers, next night mat chocolate, next night chocolate and mat. If the job is going to be done, ith has to be done properly or not at all and the same every night. On arrival observed guess receiving hot towel and drink. This was not available, to us as a group of 6. Some rooms in our party received welcome fruit bowl and drink, while others received nothing. Promoting as a luxury hotel with room rates to match, means little room for error and acknowledgement and correction to rectify should be instant firstly with acknowledgement. The housekeeping manager was excellent and moved efficiently to ensure our stay was the best it could be. However all staff need be trained in the understanding and their significance in promoting the brand they are representing. If the staff had 20% positivity and enthusiasm as Breathless breakfast staff Teresa, I would rate service as 1st class. Other staff I would like to name, Kimberly, Mr Dixon, Melanie The disappointment of initial birthday celebration on the 8th left a bitter taste, however the staff made up for the 2nd birthday celebration on the 15th. Some of the furniture at Breathless breakfast area needs to be repaired to avoid hazards. The rooms nice and large at with hot tub, however if you upgrade you can have hottub on your balcony - nice touch. Read less

This is our honest opinion, we are fortunate to be able to travel a bit and honestly this place has put me off ever contemplating a big resort again. we were so looking forward to this holiday, but there was so much wrong with it. Firstly the good bit we are from the UK and we met so many lovely people from all over the world, mostly from USA, On arrival the bell hops were brilliant, fun and friendly, then we went inside to a gloomy reception with gloomy people, we are happy go lucky people so just laughed it off. The food was barely edible in all restaurants, the French was the best for us out of a bad bunch. We ate poolside at lunchtime they had a salad buffet with lovely cheese. Brilliant coffee shop that opens nice and early, The grounds are kept gorgeous. We paid( paid to eat in the rooftop restaurant one night at breathless same food but fealt very special, and the staff in there were great. The pool areas had lots of people with their big flasks filling the up from the bar..and I was watching how often people got out for a wee...(none) We were treated so rudely by lots of staff at all the restaurants...now that makes me feel like we were not nice people, but we are so polite and respectful always and always tip at the end. We met another couple who we shared a lot of evenings with and one night we were treated so appallingly we actually walked out of the restaurant, our waitress was treating us with utter contempt for absolutely no reason, she even kissed her teeth at my husband when he dared to ask for some bread. We went to reception to ask for an complaints email address, I was to upset to discuss what had just happened and she went on the phone then looked up to me and said are you making your complaint before or after you leave?? My friend then said we have never experienced such an awful dinner service anywhere let alone in a supposedly 5 star hotel. The woman handed me an email address and we went and sat in the lobby bar. This area by the way is rotten cobwebs and broken furniture. The waitress in question walked through the lobby to reception glaring at us as she walked, we could only pressume as the receptionist knew my name she had checked to see where we ate. Then 5 minuits later another lady came to ask us how our meal was...we were intrigued as nobody had cared before..Anyway I told her what had happened and also told her I was not looking to get anyone in trouble but j could not ignore her behaviour.. After a few minutes twoing and throwing the lady suggested to us that the waitress had heard our British accents and made an assumption...wow just wow...we were all speechless, I have put in a complaint but nothing has come of it just a generic email response.. I read trip advisor reviews all the time and luckily i jave never had to write a bad review, sometimes when they are mainly good I ignore the bad..our TUI shop reccomended this place to us over couples negril, we really wish we hadn't listened to him. Hope if you have already booked and reading this review you don't experience the same as us. But if you havnt booked go to negril, we had a day trip there and it was such a different vibe...you could walk out in the evening. And one last thing everyone told us we would be offered weed by everyone..I don't care about that however I didn't expect to be offered everytime I stepped out of my room by staff maintenance men..crazy lol Read less

The beach was lovely and the food was so good. I think I would definitely return but I'd look into staying in the "preferred" building because the pool/beach were a little quieter. The whole experience was amazing and we couldn't fault a thing. Our butler service from Devon and Adia was a wonderful experience and we came home totally relaxed. Nothing is to much of a problem and the hotel lives up to the Jamaican saying of 'No problem man'. Cant recommend this place enough, thanks to all the staff, you were all fantastic.
