“Incessant, intolerable use of weed in this hotel”

My family and I have spent 11 days at the Ocean Coral Spring. The hotel is fabulous, in a beautiful location with great facilities, plentiful food and drink and wonderful, friendly staff.
Unfortunately however, we cannot recommend this hotel. The use of weed in this hotel is intolerable for non-smoking guests. It is impossible to escape as guests are smoking weed everywhere; by the pool, in the pool, at the swim up bar, at the beach, on the balcony, at the cafe, on the boulevard, during the evening entertainment; everywhere! We were unable to use our balcony for the first 3 days due to the strength of passive smoke on our balcony from a neighbouring balcony. We also had to vacate the main pool on numerous occasions whilst guests walked through the pool and sat at the swim up bar smoking weed.
I appreciate that it is legal to smoke in Jamaica, however that does not make it right or safe to blow narcotics into the tiny lungs of small children as they innocently play in the pool. This is a 5 star hotel. I would expect to be able to relax around the pool without myself and my children being forced to passively smoke weed constantly for 11 days.
Such a shame as otherwise a really lovely hotel.
“Great entertainment food need improvement beach area needs improvement”

Location was great, Atmosphere was amazing lots of entertainment every day and night, Shout out to Stacy Ann the Beach concierge she is a star, Management should promote her to the entertainment team ASAP she can really dance and all the guests love her.
Rooms was spacious, value was okay, cleanliness was excellent house cleaning everyday, noise level no issues, service need improvement, sometimes no honey and they should put salt and pepper on all the tables, you have to ask staff to get it and sometimes the waiting is too long, Also the chefs who cook the cornmeal porridge needs to go back to basics the cornmeal was raw and not cooked properly most mornings and I was there for 14 nights and it wasn’t cook properly once? Also the peanut porridge was terrible, it was too runny and the peanut was not blended properly you can taste all the nuts, Amenities, lots of pools and Jacuzzis and water park, downside is, the beach full of rocks and seaweed very terrible, only over by the Eden side or privilege side the beach is okay. Lazy River was working for a few days they out of service up until am leaving it was still not working after 3 days, best thing I can say is entertainment is fantastic and a bit of improvement needed, all inclusive should be all inclusive not paying extra for coconuts, other all inclusive hotels gives guests coconuts free.

My stay at Ocean coral was phenomenal. From the minute my group and I got there we felt welcomed and at home.
The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful.
Overall my stay was a 10/10
